Selection of Members of Standing Committees. The membership of each standing committee shall be selected as follows. The representatives of the bargaining unit shall be selected under the auspices of the Association from among the members of the bargaining unit who are employed at the University. The representatives so selected shall serve from the September 1 following said selection until the next following September 1. Representatives chosen from among the members of the bargaining unit shall be eligible to succeed themselves as representatives to any standing committee. Except as is otherwise provided in this Agreement, all members of the bargaining unit as set forth in Article I, Section A, of this Agreement shall be eligible to serve as representatives to any standing committee. Within thirty (30) days after the date on which the students shall have ratified this Article in accordance with the provisions of Sections G and H hereof, the student representatives shall be selected under the auspices of the Executive Committee of the Student Government Association at the University; provided, however, that only students who will be full-time juniors or seniors during their service in office shall be eligible to be selected to serve as such representatives; and provided further that at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, one (1) of such representatives shall be selected under the auspices of the cadet officers of the Regiment of Cadets. The representatives first so selected shall serve until their successors are chosen pursuant to the foregoing provisions between April 15 and May 31 of each year. The administrative representatives to the committee shall be appointed by the President of the University and shall serve at his/her discretion.

  • Standing Committees WECC will have the following standing committees:

  • Powers of Members The Members shall have the power to exercise any and all rights or powers granted to the Members pursuant to the express terms of this Agreement. Except as expressly provided herein, the Members shall have no power to bind the Company and no authority to act on behalf of the Company.

  • Procedures of the Joint Committee 1. For the proper implementation of this Agreement, the Joint Committee shall meet at an appropriate level whenever necessary upon request but at least once a year. Either Party may request a meeting be held.

  • Sub-Committees 15.1 The Joint Committee shall establish the membership and terms of reference for any sub-committees or sub-groups which it establishes and may dissolve such sub-committees or sub-groups. Sub-committees to which the Joint Committee delegates functions are bound by the provisions of this Agreement regulating the taking of decisions by the Joint Committee. The Joint Committee may create additional sub-committees from time to time as it sees fit.

  • Committees 1. The Parties agree on establishing Committees in the following matters: (a) Trade in Goods; (b) Trade in Services; (c) Investment; (d) Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures; (e) Technical Barriers to Trade; (f) Trade Facilitation; (g) Rules of Origin; and (h) Cooperation, including Intellectual Property. 2. The Free Trade Commission may create additional Committees, if needed. The Committees on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures, Technical Barriers to Trade and Rules of Origin shall coordinate their tasks with those of the Committee on Trade in Goods. 3. Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, the Committees shall convene in regular session once a year at the same time the Free Trade Commission convenes. When special circumstances arise, the Parties shall meet at any time upon agreement at the request of one Party. Regular sessions of the Committees shall be chaired successively by each Party. Other sessions of the Committee shall be chaired by the Party hosting the meeting. The sessions may be held by any technological means available to the Parties. 4. When necessary, the Committees created hereby shall consult with such other Committees as needed to address the issues they handle.

  • Standing Committee Standing Committees shall be maintained in the following manner:

  • Powers of General Partner Notwithstanding any provision of this Agreement to the contrary, the General Partner’s discretion and authority are subject to the limitations imposed by law, and by the General Partner’s Articles of Organization and operating agreement. Subject to the foregoing and to other limitations imposed by this Agreement, the General Partner shall have full, complete and exclusive discretion to manage and control the business and affairs of the Partnership and make all decisions affecting the business and assets of the Partnership. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing (but subject to the restrictions specifically contained in this Agreement), the General Partner shall have the power and authority to take the following actions on behalf of the Partnership:
