Curriculum Committee. The Curriculum Committee shall consist of sixteen (16) members of the bargaining unit, three (3) students, and three (3) administrators; provided, however, that in the case of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, the Curriculum Committee shall be composed of ten (10) members of the bargaining unit, two (2) students, and two (2) administrators.

Curriculum Committee. After receiving from the All-University Committee any recommendation submitted by any Department Chair or by any member of the university community, the Curriculum Committee, after consultation with any appropriate department or departments, shall from time to time prepare and transmit to the Vice President reports and recommendations with respect to the general coordination and improvement of the University’s academic program. In carrying out this charge, the committee shall evaluate and make recommendations concerning the following:
Curriculum Committee. Duties: 1) Evaluate curriculum to insure compliance with appropriate Florida Sunshine State Standards for that school level. 2) Evaluate proposed changes to the curriculum to insure the continued compliance with the State Standards and to meet specific learning needs (see Article 4.6-1). 3) Participate in the determination of textbook budget allocation (see Article 4.6-1).Textbook purchase for ESE students will be provided through categorical textbook funding at each school. 4) Where applicable, annually reviews the School’s Curriculum guide and makes appropriate updates. 5) Hear appeals (as indicated in 6.3) related to the assignment of more than three (3) preparations. 6) Work with the principal in determining the need for and the nature of any school based in-service programs, and make recommendations to the Administration regarding curriculum, school improvement and training. 7) The grade/department/team will meet to make recommendations to the principal in determining grade/department/team chairpersons. Make recommendations on the expenditure of funds allocated for materials and supplies. NOTE: ESE materials money will be designated at each school as part of the school budget. ESE teachers at each school should have input as to the expenditure of these funds. Teachers from other departments or grade levels may appeal to the ESE department for a portion of those funds to be used for materials provided to ESE students in regular classrooms. Recommendations are submitted to the principal/director for approval.

Curriculum Committee. A. In order to facilitate communications between the faculty and the administration concerning instructional and curriculum development, a Curriculum Committee will be maintained.
Curriculum Committee i. A curriculum team will be formed to determine and evaluate the curriculum process for the year. This committee will be composed of the principal, counselor, and 2-3 teachers (WASC leadership team) who would be selected by a nomination and election process. The committee would decide curriculum teams, curriculum to be developed and oversee the curriculum writing progress during the school year. Curriculum Committee. A. Each course of study which includes the scope and sequence of course offerings and course objectives for a subject area will be developed according to a K-12 format. It is understood that certain specialized courses are not taught at all grade levels.
Curriculum Committee. Members working on curriculum, including accreditation, shall receive either a stipend of seventy- five dollars ($75.00) per half day or one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125.00) per full day during summer recess. Released time shall be granted during the regular school year. Curriculum review team members may be required to attend up to three (3) days during the summer.
Curriculum Committee. When curriculum evaluations, changes or selections are to be made, representatives will be selected by the Executive Director of Instructional Services and BEA President or designee. The Executive Director of Instructional Services will establish curriculum working committees, and define its purpose. The BEA President or designee and Executive Director of Instructional Services shall select the committee members and include at least one (1) BEA member on each committee. Each committee will serve as long as deemed necessary and may be reactivated as needed. Upon approval of the Executive Director of Instructional Services, all new or revised programs, courses of study, and/or course guides will be forwarded to the Superintendent and then to the Board for final approval. For Supplemental and/or resource material (including online platforms and/or apps), each principal shall select staff, including at least one (1) BEA member, who are directly involved in the program for which the materials and/or equipment will be used. Their responsibility is to review and evaluate suggested resources, using board of education criteria and make recommendations to the principal. The principal shall review the recommendations and, if necessary, the materials or platform/app, and submit the recommendations to the Executive Director of Instructional Services. The Executive Director of Instructional Services will then review recommendations, and either review refer them back to the principal or approve their use.
