Common use of Schedule of Vacations Clause in Contracts

Schedule of Vacations. Employees shall submit requests for the majority of their annual vacation allotment to their manager by March 1st of each year. Conflicts for dates shall be resolved on the basis of seniority for vacation requests that are submitted by March 1. However, seniority will only apply for vacation requests of three (3) weeks or less for the period between June 30th and Labour Day. Requests for all outstanding vacation must be submitted by June 30 and will be approved on a first-asked, first-given basis. Once a vacation request has been approved, changes cannot be made without the consent of the affected employee. The vacation schedule, as approved by the managers, will be posted by April 1st of each year. Requests for amendment to the approved vacation schedule will be permitted by mutual agreement between the employee and the manager where the schedule permits. Such requests will not be allowed to displace previously approved requests.
