Sales Consultation. Together University Office Technologies and Sharp have invested in advanced training tools that teach our company representatives to offer valuable consultative services whether or not an agency is in the current need of equipment addition or replacement. This training is offered in several methods. The first is called Sharp Academy. Participation in this on-‐line based training is required of all representatives of Sharp photocopy, solutions and facsimile products. This requirement applies whether a direct employee of Sharp, or to maintain active status as an authorized Sharp products dealer. Sharp Academy consists of dozens of on-‐line video based study seminars matched with testing that confirms retention of the material. The design of all segments of this learning tool is directed towards the goal of learning the customer needs and providing customer education. Additional seminars and live webinars are scheduled and offered on a continual basis. Representatives are evaluated and ranked, as part of their performance review, based upon their participation in this program. The second is Xxxxx’x support of third-‐party certification of its direct employee representatives. Currently, all of Sharp’s direct sales representatives have obtained the Certified Document Imaging Architect (CDIA+) certification. Any newly hired representatives that have not yet completed the course and received the certification are required to participate in the process of this training.
