Salary Increases and Notice. Pay rates for the 2019-2020 school year will be determined by taking the higher of two salary amounts for each employee. The employee will be paid at a rate either 3% higher than the previous year or at a rate that gives $500 per year of previous teaching experience on top of the starting pay rates defined in this agreement for the various education levels. A year of experience will be given for each full school year of teaching in a position requiring teaching certification from the State in which the position was held. Salary amounts for the remaining 3 years of this agreement will be 3% increases on the previous year’s salary amount. The Union and business office will determine and verify, to the best of their abilities, years of experience used in pay calculation. Salary Increases and Notice. For the 2023‐2024 school year, employees will receive either a 1% increase over the previous year’s base salary and a $3,000.00 increase or a 6% increase over the previous fiscal year, whichever is higher. For the 2024‐2025 school year, employees will receive a 3.75% increase over the previous year’s base salary and a $1,250.00 increase. Salary amounts for the remaining 2 years of this agreement will be 5% increases on the previous year’s base salary amount. Notwithstanding the negotiated raises set forth above, if the District should experience: an increase or reduction in the District’s required contribution to the Illinois Teachers’ Retirement System; a freeze on the District’s ability to levy increased property taxes that can be used to fund salaries, or removal of the levy cap; or a reduction/increase in State Aid of 10% or more, then this Bargaining Agreement shall be re‐opened for negotiation within 30 days of a demand from either party. At the start of each school year, each teacher shall receive a notice verifying his/her salary & education level for the coming school year. This notice shall reflect the District’s payment of the teacher’s required contribution to the Illinois Teachers’ Retirement System. The Board of Education will pay, on the certified staff member’s behalf, the entire portion of the staff member’s contribution to the Illinois Downstate Teachers’ Retirement System (“TRS”) pursuant to the Illinois Pension Code. Since this additional benefit is considered to be credible earnings, this payment will be equal to 9.8901% of the staff member’s creditable earnings. No member contribution above this percentage will be paid by the Board of Education.

  • General Salary Increase 1. Effective with the start of the pay week commencing closest to September 1, 2013, employees shall be provided an across-the-board salary increase of one percent (1%). Salary schedules shall be increased accordingly.

  • Salary Schedule Advancement The base salaries in each cluster within a step may be increased through COLA, turnover savings, increments, and additional educational attainment. Once placed in a cluster within a step, faculty do not move from cluster to cluster except as described in B.3.B below.

  • SUPPLEMENTAL SALARY SCHEDULE 12.01 Every effort shall be made by the Board to post supplemental positions in a timely manner each school year. Teachers in the bargaining unit may apply for the supplemental vacancy within ten (10) working days of each posting. If no qualified bargaining unit member applies for the supplemental position, the Board may fill the vacancy with individuals not in the bargaining unit.

  • Salary Impact of Reallocation An employee whose position is reallocated will have their salary determined as follows:

  • Anniversary Increments Employees shall advance on the wage grid on their anniversary date in the classification.
