The Parties acknowledge that hours of work in the transportation industry may be affected by outside factors including: traffic, weather, customer requirements, construction, changes in routing, vault delays, employee absences etc. Runs will not be overloaded or under-loaded with work. Under normal conditions the assigned work should be completed within or near the scheduled shift end time but may occasionally require additional time and employees will endeavor to complete all of their assigned work. If there are concerns regarding the amount of work on a run, a run audit may be requested. The Employer recognizes the need of its workers to balance important commitments outside of the workplace with their employment obligations.
