BID RUNS. 4.01 At least twice annually in April and October, all regular full-time armoured car employees shall, in order of their seniority, bid for and be assigned to blocks of runs, coverman positions under the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth:
BID RUNS. 30.01 (a) At least twice annually, in April and October, the Employer shall post a list of blocks of runs describing in general terms the areas to be served, the nature of work to be performed, the starting times, approximate duration and estimated crew compliments for each of the blocks. After such runs are posted, for a minimum of 1 (one) week, full-time employees shall, in order of their overall seniority, be offered an opportunity to bid for assignment to the blocks of runs set up by Employer. It shall be the employee's responsibility to advise the Employer in writing of their run selections should they be absent during the selection period.
BID RUNS. (a) At least three (3) times annually, for a period not longer than four (4) months, the EMPLOYER shall post a list of blocks of runs describing in general terms the areas to be served, the nature of work to be performed, the starting times, approximate duration and the estimated crew complements for each of the blocks. After such blocks of runs are posted for a minimum of one (Iw)eek, all Full-time armoured employees (excluding vault employees) shall, in order of their overall seniority, be offered an opportunity to bid for assignment to the blocks of runs set up by the EMPLOYER. In the event an employee fails to bid at the time the opportunity is offered, he may bid thereafter, but only from the vacancies available at the time the employee so bids. If an employee fails to bid prior to the date the new assignments are made, such employee will be considered a pool employee. In the event an employee elects not to bid, the right to bid shall be extended to other employees in order of seniority. If, at the completion of the bid, some bid positions remain unfilled, then pool employees, in reverse order of seniority, shall be assigned, at management‘s discretion, to fill such positions. It shall be the employee’s responsibility to advise the EMPLOYER in writing of their run selections should they be absent during the selection period. The Employer agrees that the full-time tower guard position should be part of the bid and should be paid at the applicable full-time tower guard rate. I Employees must be qualified to perform, and capable of performing all duties required in the classifications in which they wish to bid at the time the bid is posted for selection of assignments. Those full-time employees, classified as pool employees pursuant to above, and part-time employees shall compose a pool of unassigned employees. On Thursday of the week preceding, the EMPLOYER shall post a weekly schedule for the full-time employees assigned to the pool. Such employees shall be assigned in order of their seniority to the greatest scheduled earnings opportunity among the vacancies on the days such employees are scheduled to work to a maximum of hours per week in days or less. After such blocks of runs are posted for a minimum of one (1) week, all Full-time armoured employees (excluding vault employees) shall, in order of their overall seniority, be offered an opportunity to bid for assignment to the blocks of runs set up by the Employer. BID RUNS. 1. Should the company decide to implement bid runs, the company agrees to post a notice at the appropriate terminal for 15 calendar days. The posting must specify all conditions, rules and rates pertaining to the bid and it is understood that all bids will be renewed annually and the company must notify the union of any modifications to the bid.
BID RUNS. 16.9.1 The Company shall, when the nature of business permits or requires it, establish regular or bid-runs. The Company will specify whether a bid-run will consist of a day or night operation and such other details as are possible except for Dump Operations, for which the Company shall only specify; a day or night operation, the number of drivers required and "various destinations". (A day operation will be one in which the starting time of the run will be between 12:01 a.m. and 12:00 noon and a night operation will be one in which the starting time of the run will be between 12:01 p.m. and 12:00 midnight).
