Penalties for Working on Public Holidays. (a) Employees shall be paid for all time worked on a public holiday at the rate of time and a half for the first 8 hours worked on any shift on that day and at the rate of double time and a half for all time worked in excess of eight hours on any shift.

Penalties for Working on Public Holidays. Employees required to work on a Public Holiday shall, subject to sub-clause 6.1.4, be paid at the rate of double time and a half, calculated on the ordinary rate, for all time worked on that day in lieu of all other penalties which may be payable for work on that day under this Agreement. Where an Employee works into a day which is a Public Holiday, but does not work later than 0400 hours on the Public Holiday, the Employee will be deemed not to have worked on a Public Holiday for the purposes of sub-clause a).

  • Public Holiday Work (a) For Employees other than Shiftworkers, double time and a half must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours.

  • Annual Leave Exclusive of Public Holidays The period of annual leave prescribed by this clause is exclusive of any public holidays, and if any such holiday falls within an employee’s period of annual leave and is observed on a day which in the case of that employee would have been an ordinary working day, there will be added to the period of annual leave time equivalent to the ordinary time which the employee would have worked if such day had not been a holiday.
