Overall Seniority. Seniority shall be defined as the length of continuous service within the bargaining unit based on the date of hire. This shall be referred to as “overall seniority”. Whenever more than one person is hired into the Sheriff’s Office on the same day, the seniority of such employee as it relates to the other employees hired on the same date shall be determined by the higher score on the employment examination.

Overall Seniority. Seniority ranking shall be defined as the overall length of full-time continuous service with the Employer. Overall Seniority ranking will be utilized for overtime, bidding vacancies, and layoffs.
