Seniority definition

Seniority means length of service with the Employer.
Seniority shall be defined as the length of the employee's continuous employment with the Employer, including service prior to the signing of this Agreement. Full-time employees shall be credited with seniority equivalent to their length of continuous employment. Part-time employees shall be credited with seniority based on all straight-time hours paid by the Employer.

Examples of Seniority in a sentence

  • Seniority shall be defined as the total number of continuous years of service at Saranac Community School in positions that require a teacher’scertificate.

  • Seniority awarded to an Administrative Technical Support Staff (ATSS) employee transferred into the bargaining unit prior to November 7, 2004 shall retain such seniority throughout the bargaining unit assignment.

  • Seniority shall not be affected or reduced by periods of unauthorized leave of absence or authorized reduction in work schedules.

  • These applications will be allocated in accordance with Seniority for the first pass, and reverse seniority for the second pass, within the respective base/rank/fleet combination.

More Definitions of Seniority

Seniority means the length of continuous employment dating from the last date of hire within the bargaining unit.
Seniority means the service credit as defined in Part A Section 5.0, except for the restrictions contained in Article 10.1.2.
