Management Strategies for Oil, Gas and Mineral Development. ‌ Should the EMR be listed as threatened or endangered under the ESA, authorization for incidental take under the Section 10(a)(1)(A) Enhancement of Survival Permit will be applicable when it is determined that the measures proposed for the lease collectively meet the CCAA standards. Oil, gas and mineral development activities within EMR managed areas may be authorized as a form of incidental take if the DNR determines that the activities proposed for that lease will result in a clear conservation benefit for the EMR. The goal for an oil, gas, or mineral Certificate of Inclusion is for leaseholders to avoid and minimize negative impacts to EMR and to voluntarily contribute funding or in-kind actions to benefit the EMR. The intent is to provide options that would ensure measurable benefits to EMR conservation consistent with the purposes of the CCAA standard (i.e., preclusion or removal of the need to list). This will include compensating for any of the potential biological impacts associated with habitat loss or fragmentation for EMR as well as costs for EMR management in a more complex landscape (e.g., reduced ability to use prescribed fire or increased law enforcement costs). Conservation measures will be site specific, but fall into general categories of habitat enhancement or avoidance of negative habitat impacts, implementing conservation measures, and addressing critical research needs. These activities will be assessed through leasing or the land use permitting processes and will consider well density, well location, access road surface, length and width, voluntary contributions to EMR conservation, and ongoing and future reclamation activities. It is the responsibility of the oil, gas, and mineral developer to contact the DNR and develop a plan for DNR review, and to sign a Certificate of Inclusion for incidental take coverage authorized under the CCAA when the proposed plan is determined to meet the CCAA standard. Without a signed Certificate of Inclusion the CCAA does not cover oil, gas, and mineral development activities on ‘managed’ lands.

  • Workforce Development MPC’s technical training program is having a major impact in the region. Online modules, short courses, webinars, and on site/videoconferencing events are reaching state and local transportation department employees and tribal transportation planners. By harnessing the capabilities of the four LTAP centers located at the MPC universities and the multimedia capabilities of the Transportation Learning Network (which was founded and is partly funded by MPC) more than 76 technical training events were offered in the second half of 2015. These training modules and short courses are critical to transportation agencies that need to improve or renew the skills of engineering technicians and other frontline workers. Many MPC courses or training events result in the certification of workers. Even when certification is not required, TLN’s online learning management systems allow employees and employers to set learning goals and monitor progress towards these goals. MPC is making another major impact in workforce development. Altogether, 57 graduate students are working on MPC research projects under the tutelage of faculty researchers. These graduate students represent the researchers and technical analysts of tomorrow. Without the MPC program and the stipend funds that it provides, these students may not be specializing in transportation; but, instead would be seeking career opportunities in other fields. The MPC research program allows faculty to mentor graduate students while allowing the students to work on projects for federal and state transportation agencies—thereby, gaining valuable practical experience.

  • Resourcing 5.1. NHS England may, at its discretion provide support or staff to the CCG. NHS England may, when exercising such discretion, take into account, any relevant factors (including without limitation the size of the CCG, the number of Primary Medical Services Contracts held and the need for the Local NHS England Team to continue to deliver the Reserved Functions).

  • Skills Development The Company acknowledges the changing pace of technology in the electrical contracting industry and the need for employees to understand those changes and have the necessary skill requirements to keep the Company at the forefront of the industry. In the event that a Faculty member develops and/or teaches a Distance Education course for the first time, the Faculty member shall receive reasonable and appropriate professional development and technical support assistance, consistent with the needs of the Faculty and availability of Board resources and services for that purpose. In instances of succeeding assignments to teach Distance Education courses, the Faculty member is expected to demonstrate a level of technical competence sufficient to teach the course. Ongoing technical support assistance may be available to Faculty who teach succeeding offerings of the same course.

  • Policy Development 2.2.1 LIDDA shall develop and implement policies to address the needs of the LSA in accordance with state and federal laws. The policies shall include consideration of public input, best value, and individual care issues.

  • Sustainable Development 4.1 The Authority will review the Contractor’s Sustainable Development Policy Statement and Sustainable Development Plan submitted by the Contractor in accordance with the Schedule (Sustainable Development Requirements) and then at least annually thereafter.

  • Research and Development (i) Advice and assistance in relation to research and development of Party B;

  • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with college/district policies and available resources.
