LEAD ASSIGNMENT PAY. The following provisions shall apply to employees assigned on or after the start of the payroll period following Council adoption of this MOU: Non-supervisory employees (employees whose classification or pay grade description does not include supervisory duties) who are designated and assigned by Management to act as lead workers over other employees in the same classification or paygrade, either on a regularly assigned or on a daily basis, shall receive compensation at the second premium level rate (5.5%) above the appropriate step of the salary range prescribed for the class, while so assigned. The designation, redesignation or removal of a lead assignment shall be a Management prerogative and may occur any time Management deems it appropriate. Such Management decisions shall be final and conclusive and shall not be subject to the grievance procedure herein. Nothing in this Section, however, is intended to deny the premium payment specified herein to an employee who has been assigned, has qualified and has performed the lead assignment in accordance with the provisions of this Article.

LEAD ASSIGNMENT PAY. The following provisions under this Article shall be operative at the start of the payroll period following Council adoption of this MOU: Notwithstanding the Administrative Code Section 4.62.2, an Airport Police Sergeant who is designated and assigned by Management to act as a lead worker over other employees in the same classification, shall receive compensation (non pension based) at the first premium level rate above the appropriate step of the salary range prescribed for the class, for each watch so assigned. The designation of a lead assignment shall be a Management prerogative and may occur any time Management deems it appropriate. Management shall not make such assignment on the basis of nepotism, favoritism, or other improper basis. Such Management decisions shall be final and conclusive and shall not be subject to the grievance procedure herein except that such assignment shall be subject to the grievance process if the basis for the grievance is that the assignment was made on the basis of nepotism, favoritism, or other improper basis. Nothing in this Article, however, is intended to deny the premium payment specified herein to an employee who has been assigned and has performed the lead assignment in accordance with the provisions of this Article.

  • Assignment Pay Assignment pay is a premium added to the base salary and is intended to be used only as long as the skills, duties or circumstances it is based on are in effect. The Employer may grant assignment pay to a position to recognize specialized skills, assigned duties, and/or unique circumstances that exceed the ordinary. The Employer determines which positions qualify for the premium. The Employer will give the Union notice in accordance with Article 34, Mandatory Subjects.

  • Acting Assignment Pay 181. Employees assigned by the Appointing Officer or its designee to perform a substantial portion of the duties and responsibilities of a higher classification shall receive compensation at a higher salary if all of the following conditions are met:

  • Special Assignment Pay Assignments eligible for special assignment pay include any Officer or Sergeant assigned as an investigator or detective to the Criminal Investigations Unit, Narcotic=s Unit, a Team Detective, or any other assignment so designated by the Department Head. Limited duty assignments or assignments of less than 90 days are excluded from receiving special assignment pay. If while serving in the positions covered by this section the task/job is moved to another team/unit, the officer assigned will continue to receive special assignment pay only while performing the same job/task. Police Officer, non-uniform Sergeants and assignments receiving special assignment pay are not promotional positions. Any Police Officer or non-uniform Sergeants assigned to a position specified in this section are subject to the provisions of this contract and management rights and will, in addition to his regular salary, be paid one hundred dollars ($ 100.00) for each month he serves in that capacity. If he leaves the position without serving a full month, the pay will be allocated as follows: fifty dollars ($ 50.00) if leaving between the 1st and 15th day inclusive, and one hundred dollars ($ 100.00) if leaving between the 16th day and last day of the month inclusive. This Article does not preclude short term assignments up to ninety (90) calendar days without receiving special pay, nor does it entitle the person assigned, on a short term basis, to clothing allowance. Clothing allowance will be paid to all personnel, assigned by order and not working in uniform, during the time they are receiving special assignment pay. Assignments due to sickness, injury, or medical disability are not eligible for any benefit described in this Section.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.

  • Non-Assignment This Agreement shall not be assigned by either party without the written consent of the other party.
