JOINT CONFERENCE BOARD AND ITS FUNCTIONS. 22.01 A Joint Conference Board will be formed of five (5) members of Construction Labour Relations Association of BC and five (5) members of Local Union 324 who shall meet as requested by either party at which meeting three (3) members of each party will form a quorum, and in any case equal representation of both parties shall participate in the voting. Such Board shall have power on behalf of the respective parties hereto to adjust trade disputes or grievances or establish regulations governing the conduct of their members.

When, in the opinion of the Parties to this Agreement, certain work might be secured that will not permit the recognition of conditions as outlined in this agreement and it is found expedient that with some modification of these conditions this work could be secured with the approval of the Joint Conference Board or the consent of the Local Union Conference Board, they shall make such arrangements to govern such work and all Parties to this Agreement, and it shall not be considered a violation of this Agreement.   • Professional Conferences Professional conferences are those conferences sponsored by educational organizations, institutions of higher learning, and government and industry concerning teaching, learning and educational research. Requests for attendance are submitted through the appropriate Xxxx, Director, or Supervisor, and forwarded to the President/Superintendent for approval at his/her sole discretion. A follow-up report of the conference shall be submitted to the appropriate Supervisor.

  • Parent Conferences A. 1. Elementary and exceptional education schools shall be dismissed early a minimum of four (4) half days during the school year to grant teachers time for parent-teacher conferences.

  • PRE-JOB CONFERENCE Section 1. Upon written request by either Party, a pre-job conference will be held prior to the time the Employees of such Employer begin work on the project.

  • Conference Committee The Conference Committee shall meet at least quarterly. It shall consist of the three elected representatives of the nurses plus one clinical unit representative appointed by the nurse bargaining unit, and an Association staff member, and five representatives of the Employer to include the Chief Nursing Executive and/or designee and one member of the Employer’s contract negotiating team. The purpose of the Conference Committee is to act in an advisory capacity to xxxxxx problem solving through communications between the Employer and nurses in the bargaining unit and deal with matters of nursing practice and general concern to the parties. Major organizational or policy changes in the nursing department that have a direct bearing on nursing practice or working conditions shall be an appropriate subject for discussion by the Conference Committee. Attendance at Conference Committee will be considered work time and will be paid at the regular rate of pay. A general group “grievance” as defined in this Agreement coming before the Conference Committee which is not resolved by the parties may be submitted in accordance with Article 18 at Step Two of the Grievance Procedure.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences A. Unit member shall be available at mutually arranged times during the regular school day to confer with parents regarding learning difficulties, student progress and/or behavioral problems a student may be experiencing. Unit members are encouraged to arrange a meeting or conference with parents before or after the regular school day if both time and place are mutually agreeable.

  • Attendance at Conferences and Conventions (a) The parties to this Agreement recognize that attendance or participation at conferences, conventions, symposia, workshops and other gatherings of a similar nature contributes to the maintenance of high professional standards.

  • PRE-BID CONFERENCE A required pre-bid conference is held for vendors planning to submit proposals. The conference agenda items include the following:  Bid packet terms and conditions.  Line item specification review.  Scope of work.  Delivery parameters.  Award criteria.  Addendums.  Proposal response requirements.  Questions and answers.

  • Conferences At the request of the State or the Engineer, conferences shall be provided at the Engineer's office, the office of the State, or at other locations designated by the State. These conferences shall also include evaluation of the Engineer's services and work when requested by the State.

If the team recommends that the District not employ the professor for the following year, no evaluation activities in the spring are necessary.
