Grievance of a Group. If, in the judgment of the Association, a grievance affects a group of teachers or the Association, the Association may initiate and submit formally such grievance to the Superintendent directly, and the processing of such grievance shall be commenced at Step two (2).

Grievance of a Group. In case a group of employees has an alleged grievance it shall be taken up by the Grievance Committee starting at Stage DIFFERENCES Any difference arising directly between the Association and. the Corporation concerning the interpretation or violation of the terms and provisions of this Agreement may be submitted to either party by the other at Stage STATUTORY HOLIDAYS In determining the time within which any step is to be taken under the foregoing provisions of this Article, Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays shall be excluded. Every effort shall be made by the Grievance Committee to see that its work is done outside hours and that it does not interfere with the regular operations of the Fire Department. WITNESSES At any stage of the grievance procedure, including arbitration, the conferring parties may have the assistance of the employees concerned and any necessary witnesses, and reasonable arrangements shall be made to permit the conferring parties to have access to the Fire Department, to view disputed operations, and confer with the necessary witnesses.

  • Processing of a Grievance It is recognized and accepted by the Union and the Employer that the processing of grievances as hereinafter provided is limited by the job duties and responsibilities of the employees and shall therefore be accomplished during normal working hours only when consistent with such employee duties and responsibilities. The aggrieved employee and a Union representative shall be allowed a reasonable amount of time without loss of pay when a grievance is investigated and presented to the Employer during normal working hours provided that the employee and the Union representative have notified and received the approval of the designated supervisor who has determined that such absence is reasonable and would not be detrimental to the work programs of the Employer.
