Grievance Exclusion. The District and the CCE/AFT agree that any District decision to lay off, as well as its determination of a lack of work or lack of funds for such layoffs, shall be excluded from the provisions of Article 19 of this Agreement covering grievances.
Grievance Exclusion. All employees in initial probationary status shall not have recourse through the grievance procedure in any matter of discipline, termination for cause and lay-off due to reduction in force.   • Group Grievance Where a number of employees have identical grievances and each employee would be entitled to grieve separately they may present a group grievance in writing signed by each employee who is grieving to the Administrator or her designate within ten (10) days after the circumstances giving rise to the grievance have occurred or ought reasonably to have come to the attention of the employee(s). The grievance shall then be treated as being initiated at Step No. 1 and the applicable provisions of this Article shall then apply with respect to the processing of such grievance.

  • Processing Grievances The grievant shall be granted reasonable time off with pay from regularly scheduled duty hours to process a grievance, provided that the time off will be devoted to the prompt and efficient investigation and handling of grievances, subject to the following:
