Grievance Exclusion. The District and the CCE/AFT agree that any District decision to lay off, as well as its determination of a lack of work or lack of funds for such layoffs, shall be excluded from the provisions of Article 19 of this Agreement covering grievances.
Grievance Exclusion. All newly hired employees in probationary status shall not have recourse through the grievance procedure in any matter of discipline, termination for cause and layoff due to reduction in force or extension of the probationary period.
