Common use of Grievance Exclusion Clause in Contracts

Grievance Exclusion. All newly hired employees in probationary status shall not have recourse through the grievance procedure in any matter of discipline, termination for cause and layoff due to reduction in force or extension of the probationary period. The City may at its sole discretion terminate any employee during the probationary period.
