Falsification of Leave. Any leave of absence obtained through false representation, deceit, or fraud shall be cause for immediate discharge. Leaves of absence will not be granted for the purpose of working elsewhere which includes self-employment.

Falsification of Leave. Any bargaining unit member who falsifies a request for personal necessity leave shall be guilty of a violation of the Agreement and subject to appropriate discipline.

  • Civil Rights X. Xxxxxxx agrees to comply with state and federal anti-discrimination laws, including:

  • Dishonesty 6. Drinking alcoholic beverages on the job, or reporting to work while under the influence of intoxicating substances.

  • Personal Medical Leave 1. Accrued 100% sick leave may be used at the employee's discretion. Such leave may be taken before or after the vacation described in No. 3 below.

  • General Leave Notwithstanding any provision for leave in this Agreement, the Employer may grant a leave of absence without pay to an employee requesting leave for an emergency or other unusual circumstances. A leave of absence may also be granted for any other reason in which case approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. All requests and approvals for leave shall be in writing. Upon request, the Employer will give reasons orally for withholding approval.

  • Use of Leave An employee does not need to use this leave entitlement in one block. Leave can be taken intermittently or on a reduced leave schedule when medically necessary. Employees must make reasonable efforts to schedule leave for planned medical treatment so as not to unduly disrupt the employer’s operations. Leave due to qualifying exigencies may also be taken on an intermittent basis.

  • Civil Leave Section 1. The Employer recognizes the responsibility of its employees to fulfill their civic duties as jurors and witnesses in court proceedings. The Employer agrees therefore to grant civil leave with pay to permanent employees:

  • Extension of Leave 2 If an extension of the leave is required, a request for the extension must be 3 submitted on the Leave Request Form at least five days in advance of the leave 4 expiration. Consideration of an extension will be based on the same criteria as 5 the original request. Failure to return to work at the expiration of the leave may 6 result in termination.

  • Judicial Leave 10.8.1 Unit members will be provided leave for regularly called jury duty and to appear as a witness in court, other that as a litigant, for reasons not brought about through the misconduct of the unit member. The unit member shall submit a request for an approved absence no less than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the beginning date of leave.
