Electrical & mechanical engineering works. Ash slurry discharge lines 1 to 4 Contractor shall construct the 4 slurry discharge lines as per the fabrication details on drawings 12255-4-08-4-004 to 006 for details. All lines are 300 NB steel lines with 8mm wall thickness with associated 300NB dual rotary disc valves as per drawings. All pipes are to be flanged. Fabrication details for all pipe sections and for all pipe bends and connection pieces are shown on drawings 12255-4-08-4-007 to 013. Two metre green allowances were added to the end points at all horizontal bends along the perimeter routes of discharge lines 1 to 4. Final length and welding of the second end flange will be done on site to complete the new pipe runs.
Electrical & mechanical engineering works. For each Unit, construction of Works shall take place during scheduled outages. Dates and durations of the outages shall be provided to the Contractor by the Project Manager. Applicable Eskom standards and guidelines are included in Appendix for the Contractor reference. The Contractor shall submit a Method Statement and activity schedule prior to commencing with construction for Eskom’s review and approval. Construction activities included in the Works to be carried out by the Contractor for each Unit includes:  Removal of existing process drain pumps with drives  Mounting and installation of new pumps and drives and  Mounting and installation of concrete protection liner

  • Interconnection Facilities Engineering Procurement and Construction Interconnection Facilities, Network Upgrades, and Distribution Upgrades shall be studied, designed, and constructed pursuant to Good Utility Practice.   • Engineering Services Definition: Engineering Services includes any service or creative work, the adequate performance of which requires education, training and experience in the application of special knowledge in consulting, investigating, evaluating, planning and designing, engineering principles.   • Building Commissioning Services The Owner may provide as a part of its testing services the Building Commissioning services involving the project’s HVAC and exhaust systems, temperature control systems, fire detection and alarm systems, emergency power and lighting system, fire suppression system, security locks and security locking control systems, food service equipment (if applicable), and laundry equipment (if applicable). In the event the Using Agency’s Program specifies additional commissioning services, the Owner shall procure such services as well. The Owner, through its Executive Administrator, may engage an independent Commissioning Authority. It is the intent of this Article that the Commissioning Authority enforce the requirements mentioned herein and certify that the systems and equipment listed all function properly prior to the initiation of each final inspection.
