Doctor's Excuse. A doctor’s excuse is required for an absence of work due to sickness for three (3) or more consecutive days. For absences of less than three (3) days, a doctor’s excuse may be required if in the opinion of the Employer, the employee has been abusing sick leave privileges. Abuse is defined as such absences that are patterned or excessive and that the employee has been informed in writing of the Employer’s intent to require a doctor’s excuse for future absences.
