The Contractor shall be responsible for operating under conditions, which preclude the waste of utilities, which shall include: • Lights shall be used only in areas where and when work is actually being performed. • Water faucets or valves shall be turned off after the required usage has been accomplished. • Mechanical equipment controls for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems shall not be adjusted by the Contractor or by Contractor’s employees.

Conservation of Utilities. The Contractor shall implement an energy conservation program at the dining facility to ensure energy is conserved. The Contractor shall instruct all employees in the principles and conserving energy methods. Copies of the contractor’s program will be furnished to the CO/COTR within thirty days after award of the contract.
Conservation of Utilities. The Government shall provide utilities for the Contractor’s tools for performance on-site, except during electric power failure as stated under Section C.1.1. The Contractor shall make sure their employees practice utility conservation.
Conservation of Utilities. The Contractor shall comply with the Picatinny Energy Conservation Program that supports the installation’s overall conservation goals. The Contractor shall conserve energy by the closure of facilities or portions of facilities when not in use. Utilities shall be shut off and building components shall be winterized and protected to prevent damage to facilities. Water conservation includes, but is not limited to, conformance with installation directives and polices applicable to use of potable water and waste water entering the installation’s sanitary water system. The Contractor shall observe locally imposed water use restrictions as may be directed by the Contracting Officer or designated Government representative. The Contractor shall perform inspections and calibrations to adhere to current regulations. Inspections and calibration include, but not be limited to:
