Conflict of Interest Law. It is unlawful for any State officer, employee, or agent to participate personally in his official capacity through decision, approval or disapproval, recommendation, advice, or investigation in any Contract or other matter in which he, his spouse, parent, minor child, brother, or sister has a financial interest or to which any firm, corporation, association, or other organization in which he has a financial interest or in which he is serving as an officer, director, trustee, partner, or employee, or any person or organization with whom he is negotiating or has any arrangement concerning prospective employment, is a party, unless such officer, employee, or agent has previously complied with the provisions of the Maryland Code Annotated, State Government Article, §15-501 et seq.

Conflict of Interest Law. The Consultant understands that it is unlawful for any College officer, employee, or agent to participate personally in his/her official capacity through decision, approval, disapproval, recommendation, advice, or investigation in any contract or other matter in which he/she, his/her spouse, parent, minor child, brother, or sister, has a financial interest or to which any firm, corporation, association, or other organization in which he/she has a financial interest or in which he/she is serving as an officer, director, trustee, partner, or employee, or any person or organization with whom he/she is negotiating or has any arrangement concerning prospective employment, is a part, unless such officer, employee, or agent has previously complied with the provisions of Section 15-502, et. seq. of the State Government Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
Conflict of Interest Law. The Consultant is advised that its performance of work for MassDOT may, at any time, raise questions about real or perceived conflicts of interest because of the Consultant's relationship to other entities or individuals, including without limitation: (1) private and public owners of properties that abut or may be affected by the Project, and/or (2) other state-created entities with potentially conflicting interests and/or concerns. Conflicts may also arise as a result of the Consultant's role at an earlier stage of a project. If the Consultant' role at an earlier stage was significant, e.g., it included assistance in the development of ·instructions to bidders, detailed cost estimates, 'project schedules, evaluation criteria or other key documents and information that assisted MassDOT in determining the scope, budget or schedule of the Project, or in choosing among design alternatives or design firms, the Consultant may be precluded from participation in the Project at" a later stage. All potential conflicts must be disclosed to MassDOT and MassDOT will determine whether or not the Consultant may be awarded a contract or assignment. The Consultant agrees to certify from time to time, in a form approved by MassDOT, that in connection with its work, it is in full compliance with the provisions of Chapter 268A of the Massachusetts General Laws, and any other applicable conflict of interest laws.

  • Conflict of Interests II.2.1 The beneficiary undertakes to take all the necessary measures to prevent any risk of conflict of interests which could affect the impartial and objective performance of the agreement. The Company’s employees are required to comply with a policy of impartiality and to disregard any material interests or conflicts of interest when advising the Client.

  • Conflict of Interest No officer, member or employee of the Contractor or subcontractor, no member of the governing body of the Contractor, and no other public officials of the Contractor who exercise any functions or responsibilities in the review or Contractor approval of this Agreement, shall participate in any decision relating to this Agreement which affects his or her personal interest, or shall have any personal or pecuniary interest, direct or indirect, in this Agreement.
