BLOOD DONOR PROGRAM. The City and the Union will participate jointly in increasing interest and participation in a Blood Donor Program established under the auspices of the Employee's Benefit Trust Fund Board. The Union may furnish five (5) names of members who are City employees to be considered for service as coordinators and/or alternate coordinators in this program. Union Officials, Shop Stewards and designated coordinators will assist City Officials in assuring compliance with regulations pertaining to excused leave permitted for this program.

BLOOD DONOR PROGRAM. Employees are eligible to enroll in a voluntary Blood Donor Program which is offered in conjunction with the Somerset Hospital Blood Bank. The extent of coverage is determined each year and is dependent upon employee participation. Coverage shall be available anywhere in the United States.
BLOOD DONOR PROGRAM. The Employer and the Union agree that both have a vested interest in the blood donor program and support employee participation in the program. It is recognized that such participation will require periodic absences from the assigned work areas. These absences should in no way affect mission accomplishment. Each functional supervisor is expected to monitor scheduling of blood donors in his own area. Though every effort should be made to support the blood donor program, the accomplishment of the mission is the uppermost priority. All employees will be given a reasonable time to participate if they so desire. In this regard, supervisors may grant up to two (2) hours without charge to leave, for the purpose of donating blood. Supervisors may grant up to four (4) hours leave for phoresis donors. Supervisors may, due to excessive workload or other emergency situation, require employees to reschedule donations. Should a blood center or hospital have need of whole blood on an emergency basis, donation time will be coordinated by the supervisor, technician, and blood center or hospital personnel.

  • Blood Donors The Employer agrees to allow the necessary time off with no loss of pay to employees who are called upon to donate blood to the Canadian Blood Services.

  • Mentor Program a. Each new Bargaining Unit Member (first year employee) shall be assigned a mentor. An exception may be made, as determined by the Superintendent, for new part-time Bargaining unit Members of whom have prior service in the same program operated by the Board. The Superintendent may elect to nominate one of the candidates to the Board of Education for assignment, or ask the Association President and Lead Mentor/Resident Educator Coordinator for additional nominations.

  • Resident Educator Program The four-year program is designed to provide newly licensed Ohio educators quality mentoring and guidance. Successful completion of the residency program is required to advance to a five-year professional educator license.

  • Blood Donation Whenever an employee is called by a Blood Bank to donate blood during the work day as a result of a medical emergency requiring immediate transfusion, rather than blood replacement, that employee shall have the remainder of the day off without loss of pay.

  • Blood Donations An employee may be granted leave with pay, up to a maximum of two (2) hours, for donating blood during regularly scheduled hours of work.

  • Blood Donor Leave Employees may be granted reasonable paid time off for the purpose of donating blood when participating in a City-authorized and/or sponsored blood donation drive or special need. No employee shall be eligible for overtime as a result of donating blood. All such absences shall be scheduled with the employee’s supervisor.

  • Brand Name Drugs If the subscriber chooses a brand name drug when a bioequivalent generic drug is available, the subscriber is required to pay the standard copayment plus the difference between the cost of the brand name drug and the generic. Amounts above the copay that an individual elects to pay for a brand name instead of a generic drug will not be credited toward the out-of-pocket maximum.

  • BUY AMERICA ACT (National School Lunch Program and Breakfast Program With respect to products purchased by Customers for use in the National School Lunch Program and/or National School Breakfast Program, Contractor shall comply with all federal procurement laws and regulations with respect to such programs, including the Buy American provisions set forth in 7 C.F.R. Part 210.21(d), to the extent applicable. Contractor agrees to provide all certifications required by Customer regarding such programs. In the event Contractor or Contractor’s supplier(s) are unable or unwilling to certify compliance with the Buy American Provision, or the applicability of an exception to the Buy American provision, H-GAC Customers may decide not to purchase from Contractor. Additionally, H-GAC Customers may require country of origin on all products and invoices submitted for payment by Contractor, and Contractor agrees to comply with any such requirement.
