Assignment of Teaching Hours. A. Due to desire of the District and the Association to maximize the opportunities for students to be enrolled in the Alternative Programs and/or Schools, the Parties to the Agreement agree to work toward full day assignments for unit members in the Program. For the purpose of this Section, a “full day assignment” is defined as unit members working seven (7) hour workdays. However, the District and the Association recognize the importance of part-time assignments to both the District and to individual unit members. For the purpose of this Section, “part time assignment" is defined as teaching three (3) or four (4) full workdays per week. Every effort shall be made to accommodate part time assignments when possible (see Article 26).

  • TEACHING HOURS A. The teacher’s normal teaching hours in the schools shall be as follows:

  • TEACHING HOURS AND TEACHING LOAD A. As professionals, teachers are expected to devote to their assignments the time necessary to meet their responsibilities, but they shall not be required to “clock in or clock out” by hours and minutes. Teachers shall indicate their presence for duty by placing their signature and time in the proper column of the faculty “sign-in” roster.

  • Teaching Assignment For teaching faculty, the teaching assignment will be one or a combination of programs, courses, or student originated studies offerings (all of which are collectively referred to as “academic offerings” below). For full-time faculty the normal teaching assignment will be a program. For part-time faculty the normal assignment is either a program and/or course(s), depending on the terms of their contract. In addition, faculty may support individual learning contracts.

  • NON-TEACHING DUTIES A. The Committee and the Association acknowledge that a teacher's primary responsibility is to teach and that his/her energy should be utilized to this end. The Committee and the Association recognize that teacher aides and clerical employees are useful and necessary in order to implement this principle.

  • Flexible Working Hours The Employer will, where operational requirements and efficiency of the service permit, authorize experiments with flexible working hours if the Employer is satisfied that an adequate number of Employees have requested and wish to participate in such an experiment.

  • Teaching Assignments No employee shall be assigned to teach in a grade level and/or subject area not within the scope of his/her teaching certificate, except where a position within his/her certification is unavailable or when mutually agreed to by the affected employee and principal, or when determined necessary by the principal. Employees assigned to positions outside the scope of their certificates shall be assigned as soon as possible to positions for which they hold certification.

  • Normal Working Hours Prevailing Wage Rate Projects: Work performed from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00
