Adjunct Faculty Eligibility. The University shall also offer the option of a flexible spending account (Flexplan) to each qualifying adjunct faculty member who regularly (i.e., for the past two (2) years) teaches and is scheduled to teach at least six (6) credit hours) in each of the fall and spring semesters (or who otherwise meets this eligibility criteria as calculated under Article 24.10 regarding conversion of credit hours to semesters), and taking into account preparation time to satisfy Flexplan requirements; provided, however, that the adjunct faculty member must arrange to have all Flexplan amounts deducted from the spring semester checks only.

Adjunct Faculty Eligibility. The College shall inform all adjunct faculty working under quarterly agreements of the eligibility criterion for health and insurance coverage established by the Washington State Health Care Authority. Adjunct faculty who are contracted for at least fifty percent (50%) of a full-time load at the College or work a combined load of at least fifty percent (50%) at the College and other Washington State public institutions of higher education for two (2) consecutive quarters are eligible for health and dental insurance at the start of the second (2nd) consecutive quarter. Health and insurance coverage will be provided during July and August of each year for adjunct faculty who are eligible under the rules of the Health Care Authority.
