Abuse or Misuse of Sick Leave. Tardiness Employees failing to comply with sick leave rules and regulations shall not be paid. Application for sick leave with intent to defraud will result in dismissal and refund of salary or wage paid. The Employer may initiate investigations when an employee is suspected of abusing or misusing sick leave privileges. Abuse or misuse of sick leave will result in termination. Additionally, sick leave shall not be used to cover tardiness.

Abuse or Misuse of Sick Leave. Employees failing to comply with sick leave rules and regulations shall not be paid and may be subject to disciplinary action. Application for sick leave with intent to defraud will result in dismissal and refund of salary or wage paid. Xxxx leave is accumulated as a benefit to prevent undue hardship to the employee. It is not to be used as personal time or vacation time. Sick leave may be used only for the purposes stated in this Article. Any abuse of sick leave, in violation of the policies established by the Employer shall result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
Abuse or Misuse of Sick Leave. Both parties are in agreement that after a proper 12 investigation is conducted and the facts established, that an employee did, in fact, abuse or misuse 13 sick leave, disciplinary action should be taken against such employee. An employee found to be 14 abusing or misusing the sick leave privilege by falsifying information or otherwise violating any 15 provision of this article will be subject to disciplinary action including dismissal. In determining 16 whether or not an employee has abused or misused sick leave, has over used sick leave, or has a 17 pattern of sick leave use, sick leave used pursuant to Section 27.2 (A) (2) or (4) shall not be 18 considered.

Part-time faculty may not donate sick leave to full- time employees.
