Work out of class means a temporary assignment of an employee to assume essentially all of the duties, authorities and responsibilities of a position classified at a higher salary level, for a period of 10 or more days.

Examples of Work out of class in a sentence

  • Work out of class duties may be assigned for a specified period not to exceed one year.

  • Work out of class assignments will not normally extend beyond one year.

  • Work out of class assignments shall be given on a rotational basis, when practical.

  • Work out of class Assignments shall not, as a matter of routine practice, be given to employees performing at less than a competent level as determined by the last performance appraisal.

  • Work out of class is a management tool, the purpose of which is to complete essential public services whenever an employee is assigned by proper authority to perform the normal, ongoing duties of and accept responsibility of a position.

  • Work out of class assignments shall not, as a matter of routine practice, be given to probationary employees or Maintenance Worker 1's.

  • Scope of Work means the description of Services and Deliverables specified in the Contract and as may be amended.

  • Punchlist means a list of items of Work to be completed or corrected by Contractor after Substantial Completion. Punchlists indicate items to be finished, remaining Work to be performed, or Work that does not meet quality or quantity requirements as required in the Contract Documents.

  • Unplanned Outage refers to the unavailable status of the units of the Power Plant other than Planned Outage. Based on the urgency of the needs of outage, the Unplanned Outage can be classified into five categories: (1) immediate outage; (2) the outage which could be delayed for a short while but the units must exit within six hours; (3) the outage which could be postponed over six hours but the units must exit within seventy-two hours; (4) the outage which could be deferred over seventy-two hours but the units must exit before the next Planned Outage; and (5) the prolonged outage which is beyond the period of the Planned Outage.

  • Project Scope means the description or activity of work to be accomplished on the project.

  • Cost of work , in table above, shall mean the agreement amount of the work.

  • tidal work means so much of any work authorised by this Order as is on, under or over tidal waters or tidal lands below the level of high water;

  • Change Orders mean changes or modifications to any Construction Contract or any other contract with labor or material suppliers.

  • Work request means a document prepared by the Contractor which describes over and above work being proposed.

  • Outage has the meaning set forth in the CAISO Tariff.

  • drainage work means any construction or reconstruction of or any alteration or addition to, or any work done in connection with a drainage installation but shall not include any work undertaken solely for purposes of repair or maintenance;

  • Maintenance work means the repair of existing facilities when the size, type or extent of such facilities is not thereby changed or increased. While “maintenance” includes painting and decorating and is covered under the law, it does not include work such as routine landscape maintenance or janitorial services.

  • Maintenance Outage means NERC Event Type MO, as set forth in attached Exhibit B, and includes any outage involving ten percent (10%) of the Facility’s Net Output that is not a Forced Outage or a Planned Outage.

  • Cost of Capital Improvement Projects means the costs of acquiring, constructing, reconstructing, expanding, improving and engineering Capital Improvement Projects, and related financing costs.

  • Severity 1 means the unavailability of multiple service resources and redundant capability is not available or has been exhausted.

  • The Work means each and every activity required for the successful performance of the services described in Section II, the Terms of Reference.

  • Service Outage means an instance when the Customer is unable to route traffic to one or more Customer Sites via the Network, which results in Service Downtime;

  • Swap Specification means, with respect to any Swap, the Rules or other trading protocols containing specifications for such Swap, as adopted, amended, supplemented or otherwise modified from time to time by BSEF.

  • EPC Contractor means Seller’s engineering, procurement and construction contractor or such Person performing those functions.

  • Planned Outage means the removal of equipment from service availability for inspection and/or general overhaul of one or more major equipment groups. To qualify as a Planned Outage, the maintenance (a) must actually be conducted during the Planned Outage, and in Seller’s sole discretion must be of the type that is necessary to reliably maintain the Project, (b) cannot be reasonably conducted during Project operations, and (c) causes the generation level of the Project to be reduced by at least ten percent (10%) of the Contract Capacity.
