Tribal property definition

Tribal property means any real or personal property, including water rights, or any interest in real or personal property, that belongs to the tribe and either is held by the United States in trust for the tribe or is subject to a restriction against alienation imposed by the United States.
Tribal property means any form or real or personal property in which the Tribal Government has ownership, leasehold or other property interest as well as any right or other intangible interest that is purchased with governmental funds, including the services of contractor personnel, office supplies, telephone and other telecommunication equipment and services, government mails, automated data processing capabilities, printing and reproduction facilities, government records, and government vehicles.
Tribal property means property that is owned by the Oneida Tribe in fee, or property that is held in trust for the Oneida Tribe by the United States of America.

The Project must be wholly located in the particular area stated in the federal public law to be considered to be Tribal Land.

  • Federal property means any build- ing, land, or other real property owned, leased, or occupied by any department, agency or instrumentality of the United States (including the Depart- ment of Defense and the U.S. Postal Service), or any other instrumentality wholly owned by the United States, or by any department or agency of the District of Columbia or any territory or possession of the United States.
