Local Capacity Area definition

Local Capacity Area has the meaning set forth in the CAISO Tariff.
Local Capacity Area is defined in Appendix A to the CAISO Tariff.
Local Capacity Area or “LCA” means the areas where LCA Customers are electrically interconnected to any of the LA Basin LCA Substations and/or the Big Creek/Ventura LCA Substations.

Examples of Local Capacity Area in a sentence

  • If a Load Serving Entity has procured Local Capacity Area Resources that satisfy generation capacity requirements for Local Capacity Areas, the Scheduling Coordinator for such Load Serving Entity shall include this information in its annual and monthly Resource Adequacy Plan(s).

  • The Local Capacity Technical Study shall identify Local Capacity Areas, determine the minimum amount of Local Capacity Area Resources in MW that must be available to the CAISO within each identified Local Capacity Area, and identify the Generating Units within each identified Local Capacity Area.

  • Scheduling Coordinators for Load Serving Entities may aggregate responsibilities for procurement of Local Capacity Area Resources.

  • Nothing in this Section 40 obligates any Scheduling Coordinator to demonstrate on behalf of a Load Serving Entity that the Load Serving Entity has procured Local Capacity Area Resources to satisfy capacity requirements for each Local Capacity Area identified in the technical study.

  • The CAISO will grant the request if it meets the requirements in Sections 40.9.3.6.5(b)(1) and 40.9.3.6.3(c) and the alternate resources are either pre-qualified, or are not pre-qualified but are located in the same Local Capacity Area as the Resource Adequacy Resource.

  • To use a non-pre-qualified resource as RA Substitute Capacity, the Scheduling Coordinator for the Listed Local RA Capacity must submit a timely substitution request in accordance with Section 40.9.3.6.3(c), and the alternate resource must be located in the same Local Capacity Area.

  • To use a pre-qualified resource in the Day-Ahead Market or Real-Time Market as RA Substitute Capacity, the Scheduling Coordinator for the Local Capacity Area Resource Adequacy Resource on Outage must submit a timely substitution request in accordance with Section 40.9.3.6.3(c).

  • The annual Resource Adequacy Plan must, at a minimum, set forth the Local Capacity Area Resources, if any, procured by the Load Serving Entity as described in Section 40.3. The monthly Resource Adequacy Plan should identify all resources, including Local Capacity Area Resources, the Load Serving Entity will rely upon to satisfy the applicable month’s peak hour Demand of the Load Serving Entity as determined by the Demand Forecasts developed in accordance with Section 40.2.2.3 and applicable Reserve Margin.

  • Also, users’ motivations or reasons for using the systems could influence their emotions and typing behaviours.

  • Technical Capacity means the maximum firm capacity that the transmission system operator can offer to the network users, taking account of system integrity and the operational requirements of the transmission network;
