authorised insurer definition

authorised insurer means an insurer that holds an authorisation to carry on insurance business for the purposes of Directive 73/239/EEC or that is otherwise entitled to carry on non-life insurance business in the State;
authorised insurer means an insurer for the time being carrying on general insurance business in India and granted a certificate of registration by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India established under section 3 of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 1999 and any Government insurance fund authorised to do general insurance business under the General Insurance Business (Nationalisation) Act, 1972;

authorised insurer. (“yswiriwr awdurdodedig”) means, in relation to a policy of insurance, a person who may carry on in the United Kingdom the business of effecting or carrying out contracts of insurance of the sort provided under the policy of insurance;
