Adware definition

Adware means any software that causes advertising to pop-up as a new window (over or under) on the user’s computer based on the user’s online activity (other than advertisements that the Sellers serve to visitors to the Sellersweb site domains while those customers are visiting or exiting such domains) or which is used to distribute Spyware.
Adware means advertising-supported software which automatically plays, displays, or downloads advertisements to a computer or mobile device;
Adware or "advertising-supported software", when used in this Agreement, unless the context otherwise requires, shall mean any software package which automatically plays, displays, or downloads advertisements to a computer; these advertisements can be in the form of a pop-up;

Adware is defined in Section 3.22(b).
Adware means any software that causes advertising to pop-up as a new window (over or under) on the user's computer based on the user's online activity (other than advertisements that Company serves to visitors to the Company's web site domains while those customers are visiting or exiting such domains) or which is used to distribute Spyware. Each of the Company's applications can be readily uninstalled by users using commercially available uninstall utilities, and no such application, if uninstalled, can reinstall itself without the consent of such users; provided that Company makes no representation or warranty that such uninstall process will always operate without error.
Adware is any software (including but not limited to software generally known as “cookies”) which has been downloaded to and/or installed on an Internet user’s computer, web browser, application or other device, either without the user’s consent or not in compliance with the applicable website privacy policy(ies) on which such software is installed, and facilitates the distribution of any commercial message to the user.

  • Malware any thing or device (including any software, code, file or program) which may prevent, impair or otherwise adversely affect the access to or operation, reliability or user experience of any computer software, hardware or network, telecommunications service, equipment or network or any other service or device, including worms, trojan horses, viruses and other similar things or devices.

  • Computer Hardware means any computer hardware, equipment and peripherals of any kind and of any platform, including desktop and laptop personal computers, handheld computerized devices, servers, mid-range and mainframe computers, process control and distributed control systems, and all network and other communications and telecommunications equipment.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, Business Software expressly excludes any and all Excluded IP.

  • Customer Software means software which is owned by or licensed to the Customer;

  • Computer Hardware and Software means all of each Loan Party’s and each of its Subsidiary’s rights (including rights as licensee and lessee) with respect to (a) computer and other electronic data processing hardware, including all integrated computer systems, central processing units, memory units, display terminals, printers, computer elements, card readers, tape drives, hard and soft disk drives, cables, electrical supply hardware, generators, power equalizers, accessories, peripheral devices and other related computer hardware; (b) all software and all software programs designed for use on the computers and electronic data processing hardware described in clause (a) above, including all operating system software, utilities and application programs in whatsoever form (source code and object code in magnetic tape, disk or hard copy format or any other listings whatsoever); (c) any firmware associated with any of the foregoing; and (d) any documentation for hardware, software and firmware described in clauses (a), (b) and (c) above, including flow charts, logic diagrams, manuals, specifications, training materials, charts and pseudo codes.

  • Fireworks means consumer fireworks, display fireworks, and pyrotechnic special effects fireworks;

  • Client Software means software that allows a Device to access or utilize the services or functionality provided by the Server Software.

  • Font Software means the software provided by Branding with Type which, when used on an appropriate Device or Devices, generates typeface and typographic designs and ornaments. Font Software shall include all bitmap representations of typeface and typographic designs and ornaments created by or derived from the Font Software. Font Software includes upgrades, updates, related files, permitted copies, permitted conversions, and related documentation.

  • Customer Systems means the Customer's information technology infrastructure, including computers, software, hardware, databases, electronic systems (including database management systems), and networks, whether operated by Customer or through the use of third-party services.

  • Encrypt means to encode Confidential Information into a format that can only be read by those possessing a “key”; a password, digital certificate or other mechanism available only to authorized users. Encryption must use a key length of at least 256 bits for symmetric keys, or 2048 bits for asymmetric keys. When a symmetric key is used, the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) must be used if available.

  • Oracle Software means any software agent, application or tool that Oracle makes available to You for download specifically for purposes of facilitating Your access to, operation of, and/or use with, the Services.

  • Computer software means computer programs, source code, source code listings, object code listings, design details, algorithms, processes, flow charts, formulae, and related material that would enable the software to be reproduced, recreated, or recompiled. Computer software does not include computer databases or computer software documentation.

  • Company Software means Software owned or purported to be owned by or developed by or for the Company or any Company Subsidiary.

  • functionality means the ability of a tenderer to provide goods or services in accordance with specifications as set out in the tender documents.

  • Custom Software means Software identified as such in Appendix 4 of the Contract Agreement and such other Software as the parties may agree in writing to be Custom Software.

  • Images means all types of visual content, including without limitation still photography, motion film or video and may include audio elements, whether generated optically, electronically, digitally or by any other means, and shall include all metadata, keywords, descriptions and captions associated therewith. Any reference to Images includes the whole or the part.

  • Web Site means the website that you are currently using (xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xx.xx) and any sub-domains of this site (e.g. xxxxxxxxx.xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xx.xx) unless expressly excluded by their own terms and conditions.

  • Encryption means methods of rendering personally identifiable information unusable, unreadable, or indecipherable to unauthorized persons through the use of a technology or methodology specified or permitted by the Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services in guidance issued under 42 USC Section 17932(h)(2).
