YEAR OF SERVICE - VESTING. For purposes of vesting under Section 5.03, Year of Service means any 12-consecutive month period designated in the Employer's Adoption Agreement during which an Employee completes not less than the number of Hours of Service (not exceeding 1,000) specified in the Employer's Adoption Agreement. A Year of Service includes any Year of Service earned prior to the Effective Date of the Plan, except as provided in Section 5.08.

YEAR OF SERVICE - VESTING. For purposes of determining a Participant's vesting under Section 5.03, "Year of Service" means the 12-consecutive month vesting computation period the Employer elects in its Adoption Agreement during which an Employee completes the number of Hours of Service (not exceeding 1,000) specified in the Adoption Agreement or, if the Plan applies the Elapsed Time Method of crediting Vesting Service, the vesting computation period for which the Employee receives credit for a Year of Service under the Service crediting rules of Section 1.15(D). A Year of Service includes any Year of Service completed prior to the Effective Date of the Plan, except as provided in Section 5.08.
YEAR OF SERVICE - VESTING. Section 4.5 defines a Year of Service for vesting purposes. Generally, an Employee earns a Year of Service for vesting purposes upon the completion of 1,000 Hours of Service during a Vesting Computation Period. For this purpose, Hours of Service are calculated using the Actual Hours Crediting Method. Part 7, #25 of the Agreement [Part 7, #43 of the 401(k) Agreement] permits the Employer to modify these default provisions for determining a Year of Service for vesting purposes.
YEAR OF SERVICE - VESTING. For purposes of vesting under ------------------------- Section 8.04, Year of Service shall mean any Plan Year during which an Employee completes not less than one thousand (1,000) Hours of service with the Employer and for ITT/ Vitelco Employees, as defined in Section 1.17, Years of Service shall include Plan Years prior to the Effective Date of the Plan to the same extent (but only to such extent) such service was recognized by the ITT Plan for such purposes.

YEAR OF SERVICE - VESTING. For purposes of vesting under Section 5.03, Year of Service means any Plan Year during which an Employee completes not less than 1,000 Hours of Service with the Employer. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Years of Service for vesting earned by Participants under the United Micrographic Systems, Inc. Profit Sharing Plan shall be counted as "Years of Service" for vesting under this Plan. In addition, a Participant who was employed by United Micrographic Systems, Inc. and who completed one thousand (1,000) Hours of Service during the calendar year 1989 and completed one thousand (1,000) Hours of Service from November 1, 1988, to October 31, 1989, shall be entitled to two (2) Years of Service for vesting for such vesting computation periods in accordance with the requirements of DOL Reg. ss.2530.203-2(c).
YEAR OF SERVICE - VESTING. The Plan Administrator shall determine a ------------------------- Participant's Years of Service for purposes of vesting in accordance with Section 5.06 of the Adoption Agreement unless the Employer elected the elapsed time method under Adoption Agreement Section 1.37. If the Employer elected the elapsed time method, the Plan Administrator shall credit an Employee's Years of Service for purposes of vesting in accordance with the elapsed time provisions of Section 2.02. For the sole purpose of determining the Nonforfeitable percentage of a Participant's Employer Contributions Account which accrued for the Participant's benefit prior to a Forfeiture Break in Service, the Plan Administrator shall disregard any Year of Service after the Participant first incurs a Forfeiture Break in Service. The Plan Administrator shall exclude Plan Years prior to a Break in Service (as defined in Section 5.07) if the number of consecutive Breaks in Service equals or exceeds the greater of five or the aggregate number of the Years of Service prior to the Break provided the Participant is 0% vested in his or her Accrued Benefit derived from Employer contributions at the time the Participant has a Break in Service. The aggregate number of Years of Service before a Break in Service does not include any Years of Service not required to be taken into account under this exception by reason of any prior Break in Service.
