Working Styles and Behaviours. 5.1 In continuing to build a single culture across adoption services which provides ‘the glue’ for the complex multiple range of stakeholders that make up NAS, it’s important to agree working styles and behaviours which all partners sign up to and adopt. The following styles and behaviours have been agreed by the Combined Governance Board (GB) which includes all partners and it is anticipated that Regional Management Boards (RMB’s), managers / staff working in the adoption functions that remain at Local Authority level, staff in VAA’s and other partners agencies do likewise. All have agreed to adopt the following styles and behaviours in delivering a high quality national adoption service and will underpin how all stakeholders undertake their role: ◾ Leadership – within the organisation represented and in NAS meetings ◾ Partnership – evidencing a commitment to collaborative working in recognition that this delivers improved outcomes for children and families ◾ Compliance – with the systems and processes in place which are there to ensure consistency and safety of approach ◾ Accountability – so that everyone understands the location of their role and its unique contribution to the wider system of adoption services ◾ Intelligent data usemaximum benefit is drawn from the data collected to both highlight and share good practice but also to surface areas for service and practice improvement ◾ Engagement with all stakeholders – a commitment to the fundamental principle that NAS is built on the basis of high levels of engagement and co-operation between all stakeholders as well as with adopters, adoptees and others that receive services ◾ Performance and service improvement – through commitment to continuous performance monitoring, areas for service improvement which is quickly identified and acted uponBest practice and continuous improvement – identification and sharing of best practice is the best route to continuous service improvement ◾ Professional advice to Ministers, Welsh Government and key partners – identification and formulation of sound advice.

  • Unsafe Working Conditions (a) No Employee shall be disciplined for refusal to work on a job which is deemed unsafe by:

  • Working Facilities During the Term of Employment, the Company shall furnish the Executive with an office, secretarial help and such other facilities and services suitable to his position and adequate for the performance of his duties hereunder.

  • Personnel Equipment and Material Engineer shall furnish and maintain, at its own expense, quarters for the performance of all Engineering Services, and adequate and sufficient personnel and equipment to perform the Engineering Services as required. All employees of Engineer shall have such knowledge and experience as will enable them to perform the duties assigned to them. Any employee of Engineer who, in the reasonable opinion of County, is incompetent or whose conduct becomes detrimental to the Engineering Services shall immediately be removed from association with the Project when so instructed by County. Engineer certifies that it presently has adequate qualified personnel in its employment for performance of the Engineering Services required under this Contract, or will obtain such personnel from sources other than County. Engineer may not change the Project Manager without prior written consent of County.

  • Safe Working Conditions The Employer undertakes to maintain office furniture, equipment, etc., in a practical and safe condition in order to avoid injury to employees or damage to their attire. Employees, for their part and in their own interest, are expected to advise the Employer of any such potentially injurious equipment.

  • Faculty Workload The workload of faculty includes student advising, maintaining and improving expertise in a discipline and in pedagogy, serving on departmental and university committees, contributing to student growth and development, evaluating student performance, scholarly activities, and service to university and community, as well as teaching and class preparation. Additionally, as a professional, a faculty member shall devote a substantial amount of his/her workload to course preparation, research, the maintenance of professional expertise, innovations in teaching/learning and other similar activities. These endeavors shall comprise the faculty member’s workload.

  • Supervisors Working (a) The work of Supervisors will not include assignment to work normally performed by employees of the bargaining unit except for training or demonstration. “Training or demonstration” shall not be used as a subterfuge for the performing of any bargaining unit work. Any claimed abuses will be referred to the Grievance Procedure. Where possible, the shop xxxxxxx will be notified. Supervisors will not perform bargaining unit work until after all rea- sonable efforts have been exhausted to have the work covered.

  • PREVAILING WAGE RATES - PUBLIC WORKS AND BUILDING SERVICES CONTRACTS If any portion of work being Bid is subject to the prevailing wage rate provisions of the Labor Law, the following shall apply:

  • Working Alone (a) Where an employee is employed under conditions which present a significant hazard of disabling injury, and when the employee might not be able to secure assistance in the event of an injury or other misfortunes, the Employer shall provide a means of periodically checking the well being of the employee. Checks shall be made at such intervals and by such means as are appropriate to the nature, hazard and circumstances of the employment.

  • GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS The District has empowered school communities to make decisions at the school level in return for accountability for results. To maximize the likelihood of success, each school must be permitted to implement programs that meet the needs of its students and community. Through a school-based decision-making process, each school will define the staff working conditions necessary for student success. School leadership teams will create and publish annual “school operational plans” which will outline working conditions of staff in the building. Such operational plans will be subject to the Superintendent’s review and approval.
