WORK CLOTHES AND FOOTWEAR. From July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019, the City shall provide the employees covered by the Agreement an annual clothing/boot allowance of five hundred fifty dollars ($550) per fiscal year . Maximum of $550 of the clothing allowance may be applied to a uniform service by the mechanics. There will be a designated boot allowance up to $150 for mechanics. . The City shall provide the employees covered by the Agreement an annual clothing/boot allowance of six hundred dollars $600 per fiscal year and $750 per fiscal year for the mechanics provided in semi-annual payments to the employee at the first pay period in July and the first pay period in January effective July 1st, 2019. The clothing/boot allowance will be used to purchase standard work clothes for the position, and to purchase boots that meet the proper ANSI Z41-1983 (Class 75) safety toe standards Examples of eligible clothing include but are not limited to: pants, socks, belts, sweaters, and winter underwear. Unit members agree to use their clothing allowance to purchase department approved attire and outdoor jackets or coats as needed from the City. Eligibility will start the day of hire; however, should the employee leave before completion of their six (6) month probation, any and all money shall be reimbursed to the City.

  • WORK CLOTHES The employer shall provide all necessary work clothes (coveralls, work shoes or equivalent, and insulated coveralls, winter coveralls and rain gear as needed), as well as safety equipment, including personal safety gear. Work clothes and safety gear provided by the company are the property of the company. When a new set of work clothes is provided, the worn set shall be handed in. Used safety equipment as mentioned above shall be properly cleaned before being reissued.

  • WORK CLOTHING 1. The State shall continue to furnish foul weather gear and work clothing, such as aprons, smocks, shop coats, lab coats, coveralls and boots to employees furnished such clothing in the past. The State shall be responsible for continuing to provide laundering of work clothing where such service is being provided as of the effective date of this Agreement.

  • Safety Footwear 1. The State will provide employees in the classifications listed in Section 7 below, and employees who are currently required to wear safety footwear by Department Work Rules, an allowance of one hundred twenty dollars ($120.00) for replacement of safety footwear.

  • Footwear Where an employee is required by the College or by legislation, in order to perform his/her duties, to acquire and wear protective footwear, the employee shall provide the College with proof of purchase by March 1 each year and the College shall reimburse such employee, on the first pay day in April in each year, up to a maximum of one hundred and fifty dollar ($150.00). In situations other than the foregoing, the College may, in its discretion, (which discretion shall not be unreasonably exercised) reimburse such expense where it is recommended by the health and safety committee constituted under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

  • ENTERTAINERS AND SPORTSMEN 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Articles 14 and 15, income derived by a resident of a Contracting State as an entertainer such as a theatre, motion picture, radio or television artiste, or a musician, or as a sportsman, from his personal activities as such exercised in the other Contracting State, may be taxed in that other State.

  • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction.

  • Consumables During the design phase, Purchaser may participate in the selection of suppliers of consumables of the Supplier. In such case, the choice regarding the final selection of the said suppliers shall be mutually agreed between the Parties. Two suppliers shall be identified and selected for each type of consumables.

  • First Aid Kits The Employer shall provide an area, equipped with a first-aid kit, for the use of Employees taken ill during working hours.

  • Travelling, Transport and Fares (a) An employee required and authorised to use their own motor vehicle in the course of their duties will be paid not less than the allowance set out in item 21 in Table 2.
