Superintendents. A. COVERAGE This Article shall apply only to Commercial Building Superintendents who were previously covered by a collective bargaining agreement between Local 164, Service Employees International Union, and their Employer(s).

Superintendents. (a) The Superintendent 1 increment will cease to operate upon certification of this Agreement. Members who are classified at Superintendent 1 at that time will translate to Superintendent 2.
Superintendents. Section 1. Superintendents whose duties require them to hire or discharge may or may not be members of the local union at the discretion of the Employer. Such Superintendents shall give orders to foremen and all instructions that are necessary to employees to carry out work, but shall not directly supervise work at the point of operation, except in emergency.
Superintendents. Contractor shall provide the services of the superintendent(s). A superintendent shall be present at the work site whenever work is in progress including whenever weather conditions necessitate its presence to take measures necessary to protect the work, persons, or property. Contractor’s superintendent shall represent Contractor in the absence of Contractor’s designated representative, alternate or project manager, and all directions given to the superintendent(s) shall be binding as if given to Contractor. The superintendent must read, write, and speak English fluently. County may require Contractor to replace a superintendent whose conduct or performance is unsatisfactory. Contractor shall not change its superintendent without County’s consent unless the superintendent is unsatisfactory to Contractor or ceases to be in Contractor's employ. If Contractor’s superintendent leaves the Project, Contractor shall replace him or her within 24 hours (unless additional time is agreed upon by County) with a new, well-qualified superintendent acceptable to County.

  • Superintendent The Contractor shall employ a competent superintendent and necessary assistants who shall be in attendance at the Project site during the progress of the Work. The superintendent shall represent the Contractor and all communications given to the superintendent shall be as binding as if given to the Contractor. All Communications shall be in writing when made or shall be confirmed in writing, by the Contractor, within twenty-four (24) hours of the communication.

  • Superintendent of Schools The duly appointed executive officer of the Owner authorized to act by and through The School Board of Broward County, Florida. Referred to hereinafter as the Superintendent.

  • Level Two - Superintendent 1.   • Board-Superintendent Relationship The Board shall be primarily responsible for formulating and adopting policy. The Superintendent shall be the chief administrative officer for the district and shall be responsible for implementing Board policy. He shall organize the administrative and supervisory staff, and select, place, and transfer personnel with the concurrence of the Board. He is responsible for administering the instruction of students and the business affairs of the school district. The Board members agree, individually and collectively, to promptly refer all criticisms, complaints, and suggestions called to their attention to the Superintendent for action, study and/or recommendation, as appropriate.

  • Supervisor A. Within ten (10) business days from the occurrence of the matter on which a complaint is based, or within ten (10) business days from his/her knowledge of such occurrence, an employee shall file a formal written grievance. Three copies of the departmental grievance form shall be completed by the employee stating the nature of the grievance and the remedy requested from his/her departmental Management. The employee shall submit two copies to his/her immediate supervisor and retain the third copy.

  • People in this context are the recipients of services provided by the local authority, or the direct beneficiaries of its activities. They can be of any age, for example:-  residents of local authority homes;  clients of, for example, social workers and home carers;  pupils of schools in the local authority’s area;  users of libraries and leisure facilities;  recipients of local authority services, including public health services;  those who benefit from local authority inspection and registration activities;  users of cafes, restaurants and other businesses, who benefit from local authority inspection and enforcement activities.
