Sick Leave while waiting for Workers’ Compensation Benefits. An illness or injury for which Workers’ Compensation is payable shall not be deemed to be sick leave except for the supplement as provided in Article 16.02 (a). A Regular Full-Time or Part-Time Nurse who is unable to attend work for greater than one pay period due to workplace illness or injury and who is awaiting approval of a claim for Workers’ Compensation benefits may have the Employer provide payment equivalent to the benefits she/he would earn under the Workers Compensation Act providing the Nurse is able to establish, satisfactory to the Employer, that the illness or injury prevents the Nurse from working and the Nurse has sufficient sick leave credits. In such case, the Nurse must provide a written undertaking to the Employer and the required notification to the WCB that the initial payment(s) from the WCB is to be provided directly to the Employer on behalf of the Nurse, up to the level of the payment advanced by the Employer.

  • Unemployment Benefits The Company will not oppose the Executive’s claim for unemployment insurance benefits.

  • Workers’ Compensation/Employer’s Liability The Contractor shall have, maintain, and provide proof of Workers’ Compensation insurance.

  • Workers’ Compensation Coverage Consultant certifies that Consultant has qualified for workers’ compensation as required by the State of Oregon. Consultant shall provide the Owner, within ten (10) days after execution of this Agreement, a certificate of insurance evidencing coverage of all subject workers under Oregon’s workers’ compensation statutes. The insurance certificate and policy shall indicate that the policy shall not be terminated by the insurance carrier without thirty (30) days’ advance written notice to City. All agents or Consultants of Consultant shall maintain such insurance.
