Seniority Established. 33 The seniority of an employee within the bargaining unit shall be established as of the date on which 34 the employee began continuous daily employment (hereinafter "hire date"), in an open position, 35 unless such seniority shall be lost as hereinafter provided (exclusive of temporary summer hires of 36 sixty (60) workdays or less).
