Section 8.11.1. 14 In those years when a 261st day occurs, employees shall collectively schedule the 261st 15 day on the second day following Christmas.
Section 8.11.1. 1. 2 Routes will be set up basically to be comprised of basic education, or special education.
Section 8.11.1. 1. 22 Runs Routes will be set up basically to be comprised of basic education routes runs, or 23 special education routes runs. The department retains the right to attach midday work to 24 contiguous a.m. or p.m. runs routes, wheelchair runs routes, Head Start runs routes and 25 ECEAP runs routes.
Section 8.11.1. 2. 28 In even numbered years, Bus Assistants shall bid on Special Transportation runs routes 29 prior to drivers bidding. In odd numbered years, Drivers shall bid first. The names of 30 drivers or Assistants bidding on runs routes shall be disclosed to the group bidding 31 second. 33 XxXxxxxx Xxxxx routes/runs are subject to frequent change in time, because of the nature of 34 XxXxxxxx Vento. New language allows these drivers to get more insurance benefit from increased 35 time during the year.
Section 8.11.1. 44 The Transportation Department will put runs into routes based upon expected task completion 45 times. Fueling, interior cleanup, pre-trip and post-trip inspections will be included in the route 46 time. The District may not require employees to accumulate unusable pieces of paid lay over 47 time. If additional time is needed for fueling and cleaning activities, it may be added to the route 48 time.
Section 8.11.1. 4. 26 Drivers shall be paid up to two (2) hours, prior to the first day of school, for bus 27 preparation, run maps, and any other required route/run documentation. If more time is 28 needed the driver may request additional hours from a supervisor.
Section 8.11.1. 26 Up to five (5) work days' absence, per occurrence, from work will be allowed for bereavement.
Section 8.11.1. 43 Replacement employees hired under this Section shall gain seniority as of the day they began 44 their assignment. Employees completing their assignment shall be allowed to exercise seniority 45 rights as a regular employee. In the event that no opening is available at that time, they will be 46 placed on layoff status as provided herein.
Section 8.11.1. 14 The returning employee will not necessarily be assigned to the identical position occupied before 15 the leave of absence. However, if the position remains substantially unchanged, the employee will 16 be returned to the identical position. In the event the previously held position is substantially 17 eliminated, the employee shall be reinstated to a position equivalent in duties and salary to that 18 held at the time the request for leave of absence was approved, consistent with seniority herein.
Section 8.11.1. 41 Beginning September 1, 2020 all less than full time employees shall receive Labor Day 42 as a paid holiday.
