Released Time for Contract Negotiations. Up to seven (7) members whom the Association designates may be released from duties not directly related to teaching and scholarly endeavor for the academic years within this Agreement for the purpose of preparing for and participating in the negotiation of a successor Agreement, re-opened Agreement, or expedited bargaining, as provided in this Article. For instructional faculty members, time served preparing for and participating in the negotiation of a successor Agreement may replace other service obligations to the University. For non-instructional members of the Association, members will be provided with released time sufficient to permit the member to prepare for and participate in the negotiations. Participation in bargaining shall include the scheduled bargaining sessions, team caucus meetings, preparation time to bargain, and time to do research and analysis for bargaining.

Released Time for Contract Negotiations. The Board agrees that Association members engaged during the school day in negotiations on behalf of the Association with the Board during the term of this Agreement shall be entitled to released time, as needed, without loss of salary; provided, the Association agrees to meet for purposes of negotiations on off-duty time at least to the same extent as on released time. The released time referred to in the above paragraph shall be for a maximum of five teachers representing the Association. Exceptions to this limit may be permitted under special circumstances. The released time permitted under this paragraph shall have no application to time spent by Association representatives in utilization of the grievance procedure.

Related to Released Time for Contract Negotiations

  • Released Time for Negotiations No more than six (6) negotiating team employee representatives designated by the Union shall be released from duty with no loss of pay and with mileage reimbursement for the purpose of attending negotiation meetings with the District pursuant to this Agreement. The Union and the District may agree that additional employees shall receive such released time.

  • Contract Negotiations Where operational requirements permit, and on reasonable notice, the Employer shall grant special leave with pay for not more than two (2) representatives of each bargaining unit for the purpose of attending contract negotiation meetings with the Employer on behalf of the Union. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Certification for Federal-Aid Contracts Lobbying Activities A. The CONSULTANT certifies, by signing and submitting this Contract, to the best of its knowledge and belief after diligent inquiry, and other than as disclosed in writing to the LPA prior to or contemporaneously with the execution and delivery of this Contract by the CONSULTANT, the CONSULTANT has complied with Section 1352, Title 31, U.S. Code, and specifically, that:

  • WAIVER OF NEGOTIATIONS The Board and Union acknowledge that during negotiations resulting in this Agreement, each party had the right and opportunity to make demands and proposals with respect to any matter and that this Agreement was arrived at by the parties after the exercise of that right and opportunity. The Board and the Union shall voluntarily waive, during the life of this Agreement said rights and each agrees that the other shall not be obligated to negotiate with respect to any subject or matter irrespective of whether such matters or subject is specifically referred to or covered in this agreement, even though such subject or matter may not have been within the knowledge or contemplation of either or both parties at the time negotiations were being conducted or at the time the party signed this Agreement.

  • Right to Stop Payment and Procedure for Doing So If you have told us in advance to make regular payments out of your account, you can stop any of these payments by calling or writing us at the telephone number or address referenced below in this disclosure in time for us to receive your request three (3) business days or more before a payment is scheduled to be made. If you call, we may also require you to put your request in writing and get it to us within fourteen (14) days after you call. We will charge you according to the Schedule of Fees provided to you earlier in other documentation furnished when you opened your account(s) for each stop payment order you give.

  • Leave for Negotiations Members of the MSEA-SEIU bargaining team (whose numbers shall not exceed three (3) for each unit plus the President and/or Vice President of MSEA-SEIU) shall suffer no loss in pay or benefits for participation in negotiations for a successor Agreement. Additionally, leave may be requested for other members necessary for par- ticipation on specific negotiations issues and such leave shall not be unreasonably denied. MSEA-SEIU shall give reasonable notice to the Office of Employee Relations of the names of those bargaining team members who will be attending particular bargaining sessions. MSEA-SEIU recognizes that exceptional circumstances might preclude the release of an individual on a particular day. The Office of Employee Relations will notify affected agencies of those individuals designated or otherwise requested to be made available on particular dates for participation in negotiations and will inform those agencies of the day, or days, when negotiations will take place. No additional compensation shall be paid if negotiations extend beyond the end of an employee's normal work hours. However, a good faith effort shall be made to schedule non-standard workweek employees so that their days off shall not fall on days of negotiations. Any designated employee who has a State vehicle assigned shall be allowed to use the vehicle while traveling to and from negotiations. Such employee shall be considered to be in duty status and shall have his/her uniform available for necessary use.

  • Annual Negotiations Negotiations will be conducted each year according to the ground rules as mutually agreed upon prior to negotiations. Ground Rules (see APPENDIX F - GROUND RULES) used at the previous year's sessions will serve as the basis for discussing any changes before adopting ground rules for the current negotiating sessions. Such ground rules mutually agreed upon shall assist in the orderly process for negotiations.
