Recall   Vacation Leave. When during any period of vacation leave an employee is recalled to duty, he be reimbursed for reasonable expenses, as normally defined by the Council, that he incurs: in proceeding to his place of duty, and in returningto the place from which he was recalled if he immediately resumes vacation upon completing the assignment for which he was recalled, after submitting such accounts and within such time limits as are required by the Council. employee shall not be as being on vacation leave for any period for which he is to be reimbursed (under sub-clause 14.06) for reasonable expenses incurred by him. Leave when Employment Except as provided in sub-clause when the employment of an employee is terminated for any reason, the employee or his estate shall, in lieu of earned but unused vacation leave and furlough leave, be paid an amount equal to the product obtained by multiplying the number of days of earned but unused vacation leave and furlough leave by the daily rate of pay applicable to the employee immediately prior to the termination of his employment. Where the employee requests, the Council shall grant the employee his unused vacation leave credits prior to termination of employment if this will enable him, for purposes of severance pay, to complete the first (1st) year of continuous employment in the case of lay-off and the tenth (10th) year of continuous employment in the case of resignation. An employee whose employment is terminated by reason of abandonment of his position is entitled to receive the payments referred to in sub-clause above if he so requests them in writing within six (6) months following the date upon which his employment is terminated by a declaration by the Council.   • Accumulation of Vacation Leave An employee who has earned at least ten (10) days' pay for each calendar month of a vacation year shall earn vacation leave of:

  • Transition Leave At the Appointing Authority’s discretion an employee under notice of permanent layoff may be granted up to one hundred and sixty (160) hours of paid leave, ending at the date of layoff. Hours of leave may be granted at any time throughout the layoff notice period and shall not be subject to the Application and Reinstatement provision of this Article.

  • Vacation Leave Maximum Employees may accumulate maximum vacation leave balances not to exceed two hundred and forty (240) hours. However, there are two (2) exceptions that allow vacation leave to accumulate above the maximum:

  • VACATION LEAVE WITH PAY 14.01 The vacation year shall be from April 1st of one calendar year to March 31st of the following calendar year inclusive.

  • Recall from Vacation The Employer will make every reasonable effort not to recall an Employee to duty after she has proceeded on vacation leave or to cancel vacation once it has been approved.
