Police Uniform Allowance. The District agrees to provide a regular uniform allowance of $675 for each fiscal year after the first year. Officers who have completed their probationary period within a given fiscal year shall receive a pro-rated amount of the annual uniform allowance for the remainder of the fiscal year. The pro-rated allowance will be a proportionate share of the uniform allowance based upon the number of months remaining from the end of probation to July 1st in relation to twelve months. A new process will be developed by September 2017, whereas, this allowance will be provided to the employee and they may choose which vendors to purchase the uniform items from. Receipts for such purchases, if not paid via a District credit card or purchase order, must be submitted to Accounting Operations for verification of the amount spent. After an officer is appropriately uniformed, the officer may purchase additional equipment/uniform items with supervisor approval. Uniform items being replaced must be turned in to the supervisor. If the supervisor deems the item is not sufficiently worn, or of other use to the department, to warrant replacement, the item will be returned to the officer and not authorized for replacement.

If a sufficient number (two or more) officers desire to purchase uniforms from a District approved vendor, this will be facilitated if and when it would comply with District policies and procedures. After an officer is appropriately uniformed, the officer may purchase additional equipment/uniform items with supervisor approval.

  • Training Allowance Operators who are required by the Employer to provide training to a specified level and to certify to the competency of the employees so trained shall receive twelve dollars ($12) per day while training. In such cases, the most senior qualified operator with the capability to provide training in the required class of equipment shall be given the opportunity to provide such training.

  • Shoe Allowance The Employer will provide reimbursement to full time employees who have completed probation and who are employed in the kitchen and stewarding departments, once per year in the amount of $60.00 and once every two years in the amount of $60.00 for maintenance and banquet housepersons. The amount shall increase to $75, effective January 1, 2007. Employees will receive said amount as long as the shoes are approved by the employer and as long as the shoes are worn on the job. Payment will be made on or about July 1 upon presentation of proof of purchase.

  • Footwear Allowance The Company will reimburse full-time employees up to fifty ($50.00) dollars per year toward the cost of footwear upon presentation of a receipt. Eligible employees will receive reimbursement for footwear upon completion of six (6) months' service. Once employees have received the footwear allowance, they must wear such footwear during work hours.

  • Meal Allowance A shift worker who works a qualifying shift of eight hours or the rostered shift, whichever is the greater, and who is required to work more than one hour beyond the end of the shift (excluding any break for a meal) shall be paid a meal allowance of $7.95, or, at the option of the employer, be provided with a meal.
