Personnel Not Granted Holidays Off. Personnel assigned to the following positions which must be staffed each day of the week are not granted official City holidays as days off with pay: Public Safety Dispatcher Trainee Public Safety Dispatcher Community Service Officer In lieu thereof they shall receive one (l) day's (8 hours) pay for each official City holiday. These additional days pay shall be paid over twenty-six (26) pay periods in the year and shall be in addition to other regular compensation. This pay shall be calculated as follows: (8 hours*12holidays)/2080=4.62% per pay period multiplied by base pay. These payments are intended to be reportable to CalPERS as special compensation under 2 CCR § 571(5).

Personnel Not Granted Holidays Off. Personnel in following classifications which must be staffed each day of the week are not granted official City holidays as days off with pay‌ Sworn Sergeants (including Sergeant Detectives), Sworn Lieutenants, Dispatch Supervisors. Fire Battalion Chief In lieu thereof they shall receive one (1) day's pay (eight (8) hours) (11.2 hours for Fire Battalion Chief) for each official City holiday. These additional days’ pay shall be paid over twenty-six (26) pay periods in the year and shall be in addition to other regular compensation. This pay shall be calculated as follows: 8 hours*12 holidays)/2080=4.62% for unit members except for the “Fire Battalion Chief” classification [i.e., per pay period multiplied by base pay] (or (12.2 hours *12 holidays)/2912=4.62% for Fire Battalion Chief). These payments are intended to be reportable to CalPERS as special compensation under 2 CCR § 571(5). In addition to the holiday payments described in this Section 8.2, Dispatch supervisors who work a shift beginning on an official City holiday will be allowed to have one-half of the total hours worked on the holiday added, at straight time, to his/her compensatory time off.

  • Unworked Holidays Eligible employees shall receive pay equal to their normal work shift at their base rate in effect at the time the holiday occurs. An employee who is on the active payroll on the holiday and has worked both the last scheduled shift preceding the holiday and the first scheduled shift succeeding the holiday shall be eligible for pay for such unworked holiday. An exception to this requirement will occur if the employee(s) can furnish proof, satisfactory to the District that because of illness they were unable to work on either of such shifts, and the absence previous to such holiday, by reason of such illness, has not been longer than 30 regular workdays, and they received sick pay for the day(s) missed.

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above-named holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus double their base rate for all hours worked on such holiday, plus shift differential if applicable, unless the employee starts to work at 10:00 P.M., or thereafter on that day.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • Holidays Worked When an employee works on a calendar holiday, he/she shall receive payment of the holiday at the regular rate and in addition, at the discretion of the Employer, (1) be paid at the rate of time and one half for hours actually worked on the holiday or (2) be given compensatory time off equal to one and one half the number of hours actually worked.

  • Designated Holidays A part-time employee shall not be paid for the designated holidays but shall, instead be paid a premium of four and one-quarter (4.25%) per cent for all straight-time hours during the period of part-time employment.

  • Prescribed Holidays A full-time employee under this agreement is entitled to the following public holidays, without loss of pay: • New Year Day • Australia Day • Labour Day • Good Friday • Easter Saturday • Easter Monday • Anzac Day • Queen's Birthday • Melbourne Cup Day or a local equivalent • Christmas Day • Boxing Day Where in public holidays are declared or prescribed on days other than those set out above, those days will constitute additional holidays for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Compensation for Holidays Worked a. With the exception of the provisions in Section C.2.b., below, an employee required to work on a holiday listed above shall be paid at the employee's regular straight-time rate of pay for the hours actually worked. In addition, an eligible employee shall receive either compensatory time off or holiday pay at the option of the University at the regular straight-time rate, including any shift differential.

  • Vacation/Holidays The Executive shall be entitled to all public holidays observed by the Company and vacation days in accordance with the applicable vacation policies for senior executives of the Company, which shall be taken at a reasonable time or times.

  • Scheduled Holidays Holidays for certain employees, typically 24/7 facilities, are pre-scheduled on days other than the holidays mentioned in Section 1. This schedule is determined in advance. If employees who have their holiday pre-scheduled are required to work on that pre-scheduled holiday day, they are compensated as follows:

  • Holiday Worked In addition to Subsection A above, employees will be compensated for the hours actually worked on a holiday at the overtime rate, in accordance with Article 17, Overtime.
