Paid Jury, Court Witness or Jury Selection Leave. (a) The Employer shall grant leave of absence without loss of pay, seniority, or accumulative benefits to an employee who serves as juror, witness in any court, or who is required to attend jury selection. The employee will present proof that he/she attended as juror, witness in court, or for the purpose of jury selection. Any remuneration the employee receives from the courts shall be over and above his/her pay and benefits from the Employer.

Paid Jury, Court Witness or Jury Selection Leave. (a) The Employer shall grant leave of absence without loss of pay, seniority, or accumulative benefits to an employee who serves as juror, witness in any court, or who is required to attend jury selection. The employee will present proof that attended as juror, witness in court, or for the purpose of jury selection. Any remuneration the employee receives from the courts shall be over and above pay and benefits from the Employer. If an employee is required to be in Court in any matter arising out of employment with the Employer, during regular shift, on scheduled day off or after regular shift, shall be considered as working for the Employer. This clause will not apply if an employee is charged with an offence.

  • Witness or Jury Duty Employees called to serve on juries or to obey a subpoena shall receive their regular salaries during such periods, less the fees received for such service provided the employee returns to work if they are released from jury duty prior to 1:00 p.m. An employee serving on a jury will not be assigned to work on evenings or weekends during such jury service.

  • Compliance with Contractor Employee Jury Service Ordinance Contractor shall comply with the County Ordinance with respect to provision of jury duty pay to employees and have and adhere to a written policy that provides that its employees shall receive from the Contractor, on an annual basis, no less than five days of regular pay for actual jury service in San Mateo County. The policy may provide that employees deposit any fees received for such jury service with the Contractor or that the Contractor deduct from the employees’ regular pay the fees received for jury service.

  • Legal venue The terms and conditions of this Contract shall be construed, interpreted and enforced in accordance with the applicable laws of the State of Colorado. If any legal action is necessary to enforce the terms and conditions of this Contract, the parties agree that the jurisdiction and venue for bringing such action shall be in the appropriate court in Xxxxxxxxx County, Colorado. The prevailing party in any action to enforce the terms and conditions of this Agreement shall collect all reasonable costs and expenses incurred in such action, including, but not limited to, reasonable attorney’s fees

  • APPLICABLE LAW, FORUM, VENUE AND JURISDICTION (a) This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to the principles of conflicts of law.
