Objects of the Plan a) To protect the teaching employees in the elementary schools under the jurisdiction of the Board in the event of serious illness, from loss of wages, by allowing them to use the accumulated portion of their annual sick leave allowance.
Objects of the Plan. To protect employees of The Lakehead Board of Education in the event of a serious illness, from loss of wages, by allowing them to use the accumulated unused portion of their annual sick leave allowance. To provide employees upon permanent lay-off with a gratuity in the manner set out in Article of this agreement. To provide employees upon retirement with a gratuity calculated as follows: x XXX x x where: is the number of years of service with The Lakehead Board of Education (to a maximum of years). XXX is the annual salary at time of retirement. is the number of days remaining in the Cumulative Sick Leave Bank. The monetary figure generated by the service gratuity formula in accordance with Board Policy be converted to equivalent time off at the employee's then current salary. This time-off only be taken immediately prior to retirement. In the event of an employee dying during her period of employment with the Board, payments of a service gratuity shall be made by the Board to the personal representatives of the estate of the said employee.

  • Effect of the Plan This Award is subject to all of the provisions of the Plan and this Agreement, together with all of the rules and determinations from time to time issued by the Committee and/or the Board pursuant to the Plan, including the restrictions in the Plan on the transferability of awards. With respect to each Mortgage Loan, the related Mortgage Loan documents do not expressly waive or prohibit the Mortgagee from requiring coverage for Acts of Terrorism, as defined in TRIA, or damages related thereto except to the extent that any right to require such coverage may be limited by commercial availability on commercially reasonable terms; provided that if TRIA or a similar or subsequent statute is not in effect, then, provided that terrorism insurance is commercially available, the Mortgagor under each Mortgage Loan is required to carry terrorism insurance, but in such event the Mortgagor shall not be required to spend on terrorism insurance coverage more than two times the amount of the insurance premium that is payable in respect of the property and business interruption/rental loss insurance required under the related Mortgage Loan documents (without giving effect to the cost of terrorism and earthquake components of such casualty and business interruption/rental loss insurance) at the time of the origination of the Mortgage Loan, and if the cost of terrorism insurance exceeds such amount, the Mortgagor is required to purchase the maximum amount of terrorism insurance available with funds equal to such amount.
