Steps of the Procedure. The grievant shall discuss the grievance informally with his/her immediate supervisor, provided the grievance is not a discrimination or retaliation claim against that supervisor, and try to work out a satisfactory solution in an informal manner as soon as possible, but in no case later than ten (10) calendar days from the date of the occurrence of the act or the date the grievant might reasonably have been expected to have learned of the alleged violation being grieved. The grievant may have an Association representative present.
