Military Service Leave and Drills. Any employee who is required by any branch of the aimed forces of the United States of which he/she is a reserve member, the National guard, or the State Militia, to render military service including daily drills, shall be granted leave not to exceed thirty (30) calendar days a year, pursuant to Section 242 and 243 of the Military Law of the State of New York. Where such employees are involved in schooling programs or other programs that require time off in addition to that provided by statute, such time off will be granted upon the request of the employee, but without pay, or upon proper authorization in writing from the employee, such time off will be deducted from an employee's vacation credits, personal leave credits, or any other paid leave credits the employee may have accumulated other than sick leave, solely at the option of the employee.   • Military Service Leave The Employer and the Union agree that the matter of leave of absence for an employee during the period of his/her military service with the armed forces of the United States, and of his/her reinstatement thereafter, shall be governed by applicable statutes.

  • Military Service Credit Permanent HMC employees who are veterans or their unmarried widows/widowers shall have added to their unbroken service the veteran’s active military service to a maximum of five (5) years in accordance with applicable state and federal law.

  • Military Training Leave An employee who has served with the State of Oregon or its counties, municipalities or other political subdivisions for six (6) months or more immediately preceding an application for military leave, and who is a member of the National Guard or of any reserve components of the armed forces of the United States is entitled to a leave of absence with pay for a period not exceeding fifteen (15) calendar days or eleven (11) workdays in any federal fiscal year. If the training time for which the employee is called to active duty is longer than fifteen (15) calendar days, the employee may be paid for the first eleven (11) days only if such time is served for the purpose of discharging an obligation of annual active duty for training in the military reserve or National Guard.

  • Long Service Leave All employees shall be entitled to long service leave in accordance with the relevant State Legislation. The employer will ensure that any registration necessary for the purposes of portable long service schemes will be undertaken.

  • Emergency Service Leave ‌ Where employees' services are required for emergency operations by request from the Provincial Emergency Program or appropriate police authority, leave from work as required may be granted without loss of basic pay. If any remuneration, other than for expenses, is received, it shall be remitted to the Employer.

  • NATURAL DISASTER LEAVE 30.1 Where a permanent employee is unable to attend work because of a natural disaster, ie bushfire or flood, they will be entitled to be paid ordinary pay for the shift they would otherwise have worked on that day. This entitlement will apply once per calendar year and is not cumulative from year to year.

  • Personal Leave Day A. An employee may choose one (1) workday as a personal leave day each fiscal year during the life of this Agreement if the employee has been continuously employed for more than four (4) months.

  • Personal/Carer’s Leave a) Personal/carer’s leave is defined in accordance with Section 244 of the Act and includes paid sick leave (accrued under the AFPCS) and paid or unpaid carer’s leave (accrued under the AFPCS). Casual employees shall have no entitlement to paid personal/carer’s leave.
