MEAL PERIODS & COFFEE TIME. Section 1 – Driver and Helper Meal Periods and Coffee Time A driver and helper will be allowed sixty (60) minutes meal period for each day worked. This time will not be counted as time worked by such driver and helper. Twenty (20) minutes of the employee’s meal period may be taken prior to 12:00 p.m. with the understanding that such break shall not be taken prior to 10:30 a.m. if the break will result in the service failures of any Next Day Air packages. The time for lunch must be taken and completed between the hours of 12:00 and 3:00 p.m. All employees who attain Company seniority prior to August 1, 2008, will be given fifteen (15) minutes of additional pay after the completion of eight and one-half (8 1/2) hours of work in lieu of a coffee period when they attain seniority in the package driver and helper classification. As of January 1, 2021, all employees who attain Company seniori­ty on or after August 1, 2008, will be given fifteen (15) minutes of additional pay after the completion of eight and one-half (8 1/2) hours of work in lieu of a coffee period when they attain seniority in the package driver and helper classification. Tractor trailer drivers shall be scheduled for one hour eating time to be started not sooner than three (3) and not later than five (5) hours after scheduled starting time. Tractor trailer drivers shall be allowed fifteen (15) minutes of coffee time between 81/2 and 91/2 hours of work (not including breakfast and lunchtime) which shall not be taken until the driver has completed their scheduled stop. There shall be no work done during any of the above meal periods. The specific time taken for each meal period shall be marked on the time card immediately at the start of such period. The Company agrees that they will not harass employees during the meal period.

  • Meal Period A Contractor shall schedule an unpaid period of not more than 1/2 hour duration at the work location between the 3rd and 5th hour of the scheduled shift. A Contractor may, for efficiency of operation, establish a schedule which coordinates the meal periods of two or more crafts. If an employee is required to work through the meal period, the employee shall be compensated in a manner established in the applicable Schedule A.

  • Meal Periods (a) Meal periods shall be scheduled as closely as possible to the middle of the workday. The length of the meal period shall be not less than thirty (30) minutes and not more than sixty (60) minutes.

  • Overtime-Eligible Unpaid Meal Periods ‌ The Employer and the Union agree to unpaid meal periods that vary from and supersede the unpaid meal period requirements of WAC 000-000-000. Unpaid meal periods for employees working more than five (5) consecutive hours, if entitled, will be a minimum of thirty (30) minutes and will be scheduled as close to the middle of the work shift as possible. Employees working three (3) or more hours longer than a normal workday will be allowed an additional thirty (30) minute unpaid meal period. When an employee’s unpaid meal period is interrupted by work duties, the employee will be allowed to resume their unpaid meal period following the interruption, if possible, to complete the unpaid meal period. In the event an employee is unable to complete the unpaid meal period due to operational necessity, the employee will be entitled to compensation, which will be computed based on the actual number of minutes worked within the unpaid meal period. Meal periods may not be used for late arrival or early departure from work and meal and rest periods will not be combined.

  • MEAL PERIODS AND REST BREAKS 4.1 Except when required for urgent or emergency work and except as provided in 4.2 no employee shall be required to work for more than five hours continuously without being allowed a meal break of not less than half an hour.

  • Unpaid Leave - After Three Years For every three (3) years' continuous service, an employee may request, in writing, an extended unpaid leave of absence, giving the longest possible advance notice. Every reasonable effort shall be made to comply with such requests providing that replacements to ensure proper operation of the Employer's business can be found. Notice of the Employer's decision shall be in writing.

  • Unbroken Vacation Period An Employee shall receive an unbroken period of vacation unless mutually agreed upon between the Employee and the Employer.

During this grace period, the Agreement will remain in force. However, the Sub- xxxxxxx will be liable for payment of Dues accruing during the period the Agreement continues in force.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday.
