Legacy Individual Contributors Sample Clauses

The 'Legacy Individual Contributors' clause defines the rights, obligations, or status of individuals who contributed to a project or entity prior to a certain date or event, such as a merger, acquisition, or policy change. This clause typically clarifies whether these contributors retain any ongoing rights, such as intellectual property claims, attribution, or compensation, and may specify how their past contributions are treated under new agreements or structures. Its core function is to ensure clarity and prevent disputes by explicitly addressing the treatment of contributions made before a significant organizational change.
Legacy Individual Contributors. Legacy individual contributors are defined as individuals who have materially contributed to the development of the MedBiquitous standards and/or community prior to 2019 and are not affiliated with Participating Organizations. These individuals can continue to participate on committees, in addition to workgroups, but cannot be appointed to new leadership positions beyond July 1, 2020, or the date when the new participation model takes effect, whichever occurs later. Individuals with this status are encouraged to apply as public Participants to assume those rights and responsibilities.
