Jury or Court Witness Duty. The Employer shall grant leave of absence without loss of seniority benefits to an employee who serves as a juror in any court. The Employer shall pay such an employee the difference between his normal earnings and the payment he receives for jury service, excluding payment for travelling, meals or other expenses. The employee will present proof of service and the amount of pay received. Time spent by an employee required to serve as a court witness in any legal procedures in which the Employer is a party to such proceedings shall be considered as time worked with entitlement to the regular rate of pay. The above conditions will apply to part-time employees in the event that they are scheduled to work on the respective days.
