Common use of Jury or Court Witness Duty Clause in Contracts

Jury or Court Witness Duty. Leave for Jury Duty, to appear as a plaintiff or defendant, or to be a witness in Court shall be granted without loss of salary. The Board shall pay an employee the difference between the normal earnings and the payment received for jury service or court witness, excluding payment for travelling, meals or other expenses. The employee is required to present a proof of service and the amount of pay received.
