Common use of Jury Duty/Witness Leave Clause in Contracts

Jury Duty/Witness Leave. When an employee is required to serve on a Jury or as a Witness in a court proceeding in which the Crown is a party, he shall be granted time off and compensated for the difference between his normal earnings and payment received for jury duty or in being so subpoenaed. The employee will provide evidence that he reported for jury duty or attended as a subpoenaed witness. It is the employee's responsibility to come to work at anytime during the week that he is not actually required for Jury Duty or to be present in Court.

Jury Duty/Witness Leave.
